Another fine video presentation! I, for one, would like you to write the report. If you know the secret and can pass it along you will not have to worry about the financial gain. The money will come to you down the line. However, most of your subscribers will still be in the 99% category. The one thing you can’t give them is the discipline and desire for success that you and the other 1% most assuredly have. Go ahead and give the secret out and at least it will clear your conscious and allow you to charge what you deserve next time.

This is a new website, not online yet. I have had a religious website for about 3 years. I want to build lists for both of them. I think giving free products is a good way to build lists, but I’m not sure how to do it.
I moved overseas and missed your video series. Where can I find it now?
What you say about hype is absolutely true. I had two different “gurus” promise to help me promote and sell an ebook I wrote. I paid lots of money for coaching and ebooks of theirs. All they did was recommend I spend more money with other “experts”. The “coach” said my ebook didn’t “fit” his list of “internet marketers.” A few months later, he was promoting an ebook that was in a category similar to mine, personal development.

Ricardo here, I would love reading your report “The Guru’s Dream” on how to finally break free from the Guru’s strangle hold. Not to say that all Guru’s are leaches, because some do honestly care about the people on their list.
But what really blew me away was when I was a Joint Venture Partner for a big name Guru (who I will not mention) said he is not going to strip our JV Link like most guru’s do on launch day, it really hit home that we are just sheep being lead to slaughter.
The only way I will ever have any chance of success is to develop my own product or pick one niche market and stick with that niche.

I too have been taken in by the so called “Gurus Dream” only to find that they have creamed most of the that market first and then offer it to you with all the hype and promises, only to find out it was another way for them to make money while I do the marketing and bear the costs…NO MORE.

Yes, I want you to write the report.
One thing that would benefit most people, including myself, is a “getting started” method. One that will bring in a small amount of money, but on a regular basis, that can be used as working capital to provide the finance required to take a business to the next step.
We all need things like domain names, web hosting, autoresponder services, etc. etc. These cost money and can put a strain on the family budget until cash starts flowing to cover their cost.
Anyway, enough from me, I look forward to reading the report.

We don’t need any more information about how to
make money online. We all know everything we
need to know and have all the resources on how to
do it. In fact, i think you have your statistics
backwards. Over 99% of us are all making more
than enough money online. The other one percent
haven’t even turned on their computers I bet.
You should listen to the gurus that say
“don’t give out your information”. That is why
they are gurus. In either case, we don’t need
what you call the “secrets”. We know them all.
They’re simple and easy tricks of the trade that
everybody knows.
What you should do is set up a site where we can
donate half of all the money we are making.
That would make us all feel better from the guilt
of how easy we are making money.
So, we do appreciate your offer though and your
spirit of giving. That make the internet what it
is. So enjoy your vacations and trips and don’t
worry about your viewers here. You’ve given
enough already. Have a blast and have lots of fun.

A straight forward list builder would be awesome, as well as that coaching that can be motivational when things don’t work out so well, other things like gaining more traffic for free would be very handy as well!

I know exactly what you are talking about. The gurus hypnotize you with this dream of making $$$$$ in practically no time and then they sell you the “secret” blue prints, mind maps, templates for $$$$$. I buy it then I buy the rest of the OTO, up sell, cross sell, membership, then I think Ok now I will make my first $1,000 in 1 week.
But when I start to use the system, I realize:
1. It will take me several months to learn the system (not make money in one hour or 1 week or 1 month) I start to get overwhelmed.
2. It is so complicated to a newbie that a beginner like me gets easily stuck and discouraged. (To a guru it’s all very easy and simple) This is information overload.
3. I ask for help, write support or submit a ticket (I get a very friendly reply to read everything because it is all explained in the manual)
4. Then the lessons are full of sales pitches for more very useful tools to run the biz on auto-pilot. I buy more stuff. (I am spending money that I have not earned and I am maxing out my credit card).
5. Then I go to the membership site, more sales pitches…(this is an expensive membership, if I cancel I cannot use the tools online and everything I bought becomes almost useless) etc…etc…etc…
Then at this point I (now) use the option of REFUND.
I now see the trend of gurus outdoing each other in promising the bigger dream while selling the most products tightly packaged into a “I.M. secret system” for the best price (now reaching thousands of dollars).
We get hooked on the promise of the dream which to most people spell salvation out of their desperate situation. We all want a quick fix to our problems and they know that and they use that.
I really hope that you will make that free report that will help us make progress in our IM business.
I want to believe that you really want to help people.

It isn’t a dream its a nightmare. Please, please give us the report!!
We have been scammed (nothing to do with IM), have lost our home, have a business which is failing and DESPERATELY need a way forward. The least little bit of help is appreciated more than you can possibly begin to imagine.
I think some of it will not come as too great a surprise but a proper report by someone who understands it all would be invaluable to help us get PAST the bull***t and gain some insights that we just don’t presently have. As I see it only IM (if we could only just get the real information and the help that we need) can offer us a real soltuion to our problems but the Gurus seem to want to give us a little bit but not enough to end our dependence on them as they wish to keep us coming back for that next little bit.
Its a bit like a food shop that really wants to keep you hungry so you come back for the one mouthful at a time they want to sell you because that makes a whole meal much more profitable – trouble is few of us can afford to buy a whole IM meal that way. You end up buying different products which means you are buying a lot of the same information over and over again.
I’m sick of it, frankly, because its a con. As I said, I’ve been conned badly (actually he did it very well – c’mon you can’t lose a sense of humour entirely) and I feel I’m being done over again by the IM gurus.
Sadly, it all means that we probably could not afford your coaching. We joined one coaching programme and know exactly what you are talking about in regard to the average programme of that type – the “coaches” are just employees who are probably just as anxious to get out of the rat race as everyone else. If what they were offering was that great those employees would be doing it themselves and not working for the company. It took me a while to work that one out but I got there in the end (Duh!).
The report sounds like it would be very useful. I am looking forward to reading it.

I know there is no magic bullit, but I want your report simply because I am still looking for something that makes sense.I know effort is needed, and I am prepared for that, but maybe I just have too much info and can’t quite put it all together.After all the failed ‘dreams’, I am now broke so maybe your report will help me keep going, part of me says to give up, but the other is still stronger. I, too, feel smothered by all the misinformation and I’m really tired of putting out money for things that are supposedly “the real thing”, but you get them and they’re too convoluted to even begin to put into action! Thanks for trying to make that reports. I know you will accomplish what you are trying to achieve but unfortunately I believe it still won’t help most of us. Why did I say that? Well you said that you feel bad about that 99% number which means only 1% makes money. So if you really want to better that average maybe this number could help you a bit. You said you have 25000 in your list. Well then you need more than 250 people in your list to start making money soon otherwise it will still keep playing the old song again and again. Do you think you can do that?
In my opinion it is the current internet marketing philosophy that produces the sad 99% number and I believe this philosophy will not be said in your report. Do you know that we are living in a world where only 2% of the world population control 50% of world’s wealth, 48% of world population shares only 2% of world wealth and that leads to 50% of world population shares 48% of world’s wealth. This means the internet marketing average of 99% is worst than the world scenario although we know our world condition already a sad one.
Unless the ’secret’ philosophy change this condition will continue to persist. If it does not change voluntarily it will just broke down sometime in the future by itself just like what happen to the current economy where it has to be bailed out in order to reduce further damage.
Anyway I’m looking forward to read your report because I really hope that I was wrong with my analysis of the internet marketing gurus. So let see what happen when the report go public. Maybe I could give my comment after that. Hope everyone here will find their ways to make money online somehow. It is better late than never. All the best.

I have been attracted to so many new “shiny objects” thrown my way that I developed ADHD….it has become difficult to focus on just one project…at a time. I have many “projects” in my planning mind… Here i go again! Focus!

Yep, I’m one of the 99%. I started internet marketing venture in Dec 2007 w/clickbank and have not made a cent. Granted I did not give it my all but after being frustrated with not knowing I let myself be part of that 99%. Needless to say my day job is not paying what I’d like to make and would like to succeed w/internet marketing as my goal. I’m ready to retire and what a way to go out, as an internet marketer and making big bucks. I too would like to share with others how to succeed and be successful. Yes Alex, write the report. I’ve been buying Guru reports for the past year and a half. I’m very confused and fearful of starting an internet business at this stage of my life. I’m a retired senior citizen. Because of the present inflated prices, it is now effecting my retirement income.I need to supplement this income. Selling product on the internet would help.

I’ve been a subscriber for some time now, and I also subscribe to several other “guru’s” newaletters. I’ve got to say that the value you put into your videos is fantastic. I’m actually one of the (lucky?)one per cent that is making a bit of money on line, but a few hundred bucks a month just isn’t anywhere near where I need to be. I would certainly appreciate a real blueprint that would give me the step by step actions necessary to take my business to the next level.

I have been on your list for around 4 months. This video really grabbed my attention. So that means this last email you sent was probably the 2nd or 3rd I’ve read since being a subscriber. I actually slowed down for the 20 min. to listen to everything you said. You are very passionate about changing internet marketing; I picked up on that.
I first became interested in “making money” online, really a year ago this month! Just realized it; I have only really been learning what it will actually take to make money online for just three months out that year. Wow! I just had a light bulb come on.
For almost a year I would just see email capture forms for, well, the dream. So I would fill it out, they would email me with some offer for something I knew nothing about or want to give me something free to use as a marketer; that I knew nothing about. It was like make money, make money, make money. Like a robot in my FACE. Still is.
It always felt like there were gaps and trust issues. Some marketers did good on the trust part but still wanted me to just buy a lot of stuff. I felt like I would end up working for them anyway or something like that as well; because a lot of messages were like, follow me, follow me. I would think, “what are we going to do!” Ohhh!! Make money, make money, make money. I hope I’m getting my point across. Part of it is purpose.
But like I said over the past few months I’ve decided to do some research for myself and get out of my email for a while. I now know I have to be somewhat technical, somewhat intelligent, somewhat managerial and a few other things not to mention creative and encouraging; if I am going to “make money” online. I also need to go to the library.
If I can show some people close to me it’s worth while to “make money” online (with a purpose). And they don’t take it as selling the pie in the sky to them; maybe I will get some help (from my peers). But for now I’m on my own. This is an area I need help in; being able to start small and make a big impression on a very little budget.
That brings me to this. I’m not here for the dream. For a matter of factly I have a totally different dream then getting rich, famous, or retirement at 30. That may be part of it. But it’s not all of it. If I retire at 30 I don’t want to stop working! So, I am interested in a report that is controversial to the gurus.
I am from a small town I’ve learned a little about what happens in the shadows of small networks. I’ve learned about how think tanks organizations and small gov. works. I hope you produce a report that may help me combine some of that knowledge with “making money” online. And again, with very little outsourcing.
In closing whatever your report turns out to be; I’m sure, for many people it won’t be a secret. But to others it will be eye opening. I hope you do it and are able to offer it gratis.

And you’re ‘right on’ when you say that the gurus are, or have been, just selling dreams. Enough is enough. So many of us have sunk even deeper into the very holes we are trying to climb out of. Not just financially, but this constant struggle begins to do something to a person’s self esteem.
Also, the wiser and more caring (than most) gurus *do* offer the advice that you must take action. This makes complete sense, however, for many of us it feeks like attempting to play baseball without a bat. Not only would you look just plain stupid, it wouldn’t be very effective. A while back after being sick of losing money it seemed that studying (and more studying) seemed to be the answer, so as to go ‘forth’ later, armed and dangerous:-) but now…

I’ve never made any money online. Although I know how to create a web page etc I dont have any marketing experience (except as the reader/watcher of countless ad messages over the yrs!).
Sure I’d like to make the big $s, but even $200 a week would make a significant differnce to my income level.
Maybe there is no ‘big trick or secret’ to online success, but it feels like I’m missing some info somewhere, I dont want to spend 6 months working hard just to end up with no extra dollars.
So I’m hoping your report will clarify some issues for me.

Hi Alex I cannot tell you how much just viewing your video and hearing what you are prepared to do for those of us who are lost out there in that great void of Internet Marketing and thanks to the Gurus (who keep us lost and broke), means. I am a newbie and I have spent a lot of money and 4 months straight night and day trying to figure out just how to even begin to earn some money on the Internet. I have just gone on to a Disability Pension and I am also a single mother to two young adults and after I had to cease my job as a Bus Driver and I have worked for the better part of 42 years 14 of those as a single parent and never once have I asked for anything for free. I am prepared to work hard, but when we constantly get kicked to the kerb everywhere we go by the greedy Gurus, I do not think that this is either ethical or fair for anyone. Unless you have great knowledge on how to beat both complicated programs that are out there and the greedy Gurus, you do not get anywhere. I personally think that it is a wonderful thing that you are offering to do for us unfortunate ones and I am sure that you will have undying gratitude from many many people that you are both very kind and prepared to cop a lot of flack from your fellow piers in doing this.
I know that I would be very grateful for any help that you can offer me and others and I am sure that many of us would be prepared to pass on your teachings and kindness to other newbies who are lost just like us.
Please do write your report and help so many of us to be able to take those first steps at the beginning to our future on the internet and enable us to earn some money to help make our lives easier. Thank you so much for your kindness and generous consideration, you will certainly not be forgotten by me and I am sure many other struggling people.

I am not in that 1% but I know how it feels to be there and I hate to see people who can’t afford it being manipulated.
Thankfully, there are a few ethical marketers around such as you Alex, who frequently give sound advice and not hype.

Lost in that great void called Internet Marketing
Many of us who are new to the world of Internet Marketing find all these web sites, thousands, upon thousands offering their wares. “This will be the answer to all your prayers in how to become rich with little effort”. “Buy this item or join up with our program and we will help you build a huge list of customers to sell your products to”. “Get this program which will help you gain the knowledge to beat the big advertising companies at their own game”. We all know that there is nothing wrong with someone who has worked hard enough and learned how to design and create programs that will help us marketers in our adventure to become financially independent, but is it wrong to only give us one small piece to the puzzle and then try to sell all the other pieces to us one at a time (which unless you are clued up enough in computers and programming to understand) will still leave you in the dark?
Is this the right way to act in this business when it causes many of us to totally lose faith in our fellow man when they have emptied our wallets and are still trying to get the shirt off our backs as well?
Should we not be offering help to those who are new to the industry by giving them some guidance that is not going to leave them losing total faith in it? How much money do we really need to live a life of not wanting for anything? Isn’t one house with everything in it, one car per person, a bank account with enough funds in it to prevent us from ever having to work again enough?
All you ever see is photos of the “GURUS” with 2 or 3 cars, a house that has as many rooms in it as some small hotels and bank accounts that show more money than we have earned in the last 10 years.
How about getting out there and helping others to be freed from debt and able to own their homes without it costing them every time they need help with learning skills of the trade.
I have worked for the better part of 42 years and have never asked for anything for free, because we do need to be prepared to work for what we want.
All we are asking is to be given a fair go and not to be totally locked out of the Closed Circle that allows just a certain amount of marketers to be making a killing in this industry and just leaving the crumbs for the greater number of us out there struggling to make a go of it.
Someone offered the hand of compassion to me with teaching me the ropes of marketing, free of charge and I will not allow the coldness of this world, prevent me from doing the same for others.

I found you through Michael Cheney’s Golden thread. What you promise is fantastic. It is so hard to get to the truth about Interent marketing. I have limited resources because I am a retiree and live on a pension income. The cost of living has sky rocketed in Australia and my only hope for additional income is from the Internet. Over the past three years I have been trying to make Internet sales and in the process I have spent most of my savings, over $10,000, which is significant to someone in my position but my results have been dismal.
My situation has recently become more desperate as the rent has now jumped another $40 a week and all pension income has stayed substantially the same. If you can tell me how to make life easier by gaining some Internet income I will be eternally grateful.

I’ve been online for most of the last 10 years and have not obtained the success I’ve strived for. I have to admit I am a bit jaded when it comes to most of the internet marketing promotions that have come out in the last couple years. I’ve been around too long and have seen too much to not be.
I’ve had a sneaky suspicion that there is something wrong out there, something big, and I have even pulled away from several big-name marketers. In fact, I still get down right angry when I stop and dwell on some of the experiences I’ve had. I’m glad to hear your confirmation of my suspicions, although I’m not glad things are the way they are in the IM field.
I would love to see this report of yours, and I’m sure you will have some profound things to share. I have no doubt that your pearls of wisdom will catapult many toward accomplishing their goals, and I hope to be one of them!

I have been sooooo busy getting stuff done with my new business since we met at the seminar last week! You guys were “awesome” and the coolest people to hang out with!
To be honest… when I arrived at the seminar, I felt sooooo out of place it was unreal. I tell you now, you couldn’t guess how small I felt mixing it up with you guys! But… reality struck when you guys turned out to be “the most down to earth friendly bunch” of people anyone could meet!
You guys have taught me so much stuff in 3 days, that I needed to get it all on paper… properly, or on my site. I now have a positive direction to go with my new business, and have learned of loads of resources I can use to make it a success!
List building is a key area of my new business, so I am eager to learn more from you directly in the near future. You have personally given me “great” info on doing this with your last report and meeting you in person, so I know that this area will not even come close to failing… its impossible to fail with this info, so thank you!
Other key areas of my business are very technical, but thanks to you guys… I have the means to do all that is needed to create an awesome business of my own!
I cant wait till the next seminar… I will have my business up in no time now, so I will have my own success story to talk about. Mindset and staying focused on what is important, and why it is important had a lot to do with not acting fast… but now they are not a problem!
All I need now is a “mentor” to keep me on track!

Like many here, I work at least 16 hours a day, hunched over the computer. trying to build a successful on-line business.
I’ve bought the products, some pretty good, mostly the instructional type. Some poor and some just a rip off!
I kind of knew in the back of my mind that we were all being lied to by the “Gurus”. After all I’m not new to business, having run several off-line businesses and yet I still fell for the hype. How could I be so dumb?
I have lots of web sites but having reviewed them all this morning it is obvious after reading your report, where I’m going wrong.
My next job is to start dismantling them and heed your advice of giving instead of just taking.

To cut to the chase, I’m just your “average Joe”, early 50’s, & another statistic of redundancy in the Corporate world, recovering from serious illness, struggling to find employment in the offline world, who looked to the internet back in June 2006, as a means of replacing my income.
I can state categorically, that I am truly representative of the “99%” who have not earned a single penny worth talking about online, & yet invested 1000’s of Euros into tons of “quick get rich now” internet marketing schemes, in the hope of actually doing so.
I cannot tell you how delighted I was then to have come across your program & to read that somebody such as yourself was going to go out on a limb to show somebody like myself the actual methods of creating & developing a successful online business.
It is the passion that you possess & convey that makes it all so compelling, & has certainly raised my interests more than enough, to sign up with you for the course.
I can honestly state, that I’m willing to learn to “crawl” again to getting my online business off the ground, & am quite looking forward to the “road ahead”.

I’ve done in 2 months what you did in your first years, the dumb bit!
I analysed what the “offers” were promoting an came to the conclusion it was ALL hype and as close to a scam as you can get!!
I have the same feeling as yourself, that people NEED an honest system to earn them some money on the internet (as there are so many people out there who NEED to especially now in December 2008 with all that is going on and the firings that are taking place.
I am NOT an IMarketer, but a “collector” of all the different “systems” to see how they work BEFORE commiting to anything.
Putting in 16 hours a day on my computer,I came to the same conclusions as yourself.
You need your OWN business system and you need to WORK IT as you would any other J.O.B (at least to start with).
I now know all the “BITS” I need to make a good on-line business work.
What I don’t know is how to string them all into a concise and coherent system that can be truly productive.
I like what I have seen and heard of you (so far)LOL.
I hope seriously that you are the answer I am looking for to get started in this business and can point me in the right direction when I’m stuck as I think we both have similar goals and aspirations.
Thank you for your leading thus far, I don’t wish you “luck”, because we both know that “luck” has very little to do with it and sweat has considerably more.
