This truly was an AMAZING report and I really want to thank you for not only taking the time, but having the guts to put something like this together.
I am always looking for great content to share with my readers and subscribers and this is definitely something that I think is going to help A LOT of people.
I have always been impressed by the content you produce, but in my opinion this is definitely your best work yet.
In fact, this is one of the best reports I have ever read about Internet marketing. This should almost be required reading for anyone who is serious about building their own online business.
It is sad that so many people seem to be looking for a magic button that will provide them with instant wealth, but hopefully after reading your report they will realize that it doesn’t exist and it is time to start building a business.
One of the best tips in your report was recommending that people get a mentor since it will save someone years of trial and error. I’ve been fortunate enough to be mentored by some really great Internet marketers and I know it has been a really smart investment for me.
Another tip you shared that I think was extremely valuable was when you wrote: “the best way to make money is to give stuff away for free, to build a mailing list and leverage the fact that you are the leader to these people”.
Although it sounds simple, I think that is an excellent recommendation for anyone who is not pleased with their current results.

I just got done reading The Gurus Dream, I cannot seem to find the words to describe the way it made me feel.
I have been working at building a business online for close to 2 years now, and always felt like the “Big One” was right around the corner. I have felt frustrated, overwhelmed, and angry for not being able to take the step of NOT working for anybody else. I have had many ideas of products that have the potential to be great. Some maybe not so great, only to waste time and just think about them and see someone else go ahead and create the same type of product.
Over the past couple of months, I came to realize, that taking action to fulfill my dreams can only be done by me. Now it may not be everyones cup of tea to say this, But I have always felt that to get ahead in life in what ever you do, you must forge your own path. You need to stand out from everyone else. I, like many thousands of people out there, am subscribed to many lists, how many do I actually open and read? probably only a a dozen at the most.
I would like to share a quote with you from my late uncle who recently passed away, he was a jack of all trades, and when I was younger he was teaching me to oil paint, at the time I was getting very frustrated because I was not getting down on canvas what I was perceiving in my mind.
” Don’t give up in whatever you do, because the minute you give up, you will never be able to take back those words, ‘I give up’ it plants a seed that can grow and lie dormant, and spring back to bite you in your ass.
If you feel that you are not doing well step back and look at what you have done. Take a break and do something else, because in time you will figure out what went wrong, you can always repaint your canvas and start over, but the minute you throw your canvas away, it is gone forever”

I was unable to visit him before he passed away as much as I wanted to, but financially I was unable to, especially having 2 new baby boys at home. The money just wasn’t there. I do not want that to happen again, I want to be able to see my family when I want whether they live 5 miles down the road or they live 2000 miles away.
There is a need for people like you that are not afraid to push the boundaries, there is a need for people to wake up and stop being sheep.
I have always felt that being different and standing on your own two feet is the most empowering feeling that you can ever feel.
It doesn’t matter who you are, where you come from, or what style of clothes you wear, when you can look in the mirror and say that you truly are being the best you at who you are then you can and will succeed.

I’m not sure if people will really want to read your lastest offering.
Yeah, you read that correctly…
I say that because I’m not sure how they’ll take it after being fed all the lies, one after the other for what seems like a lifetime. I call it the magic pill, you call it the gurus dream…and that’s exactly what it is. Gurus are in the business of selling ‘dreams’ – and that’s exactly what people want to buy into…the ‘hope’ and the ‘dream’.
But once you get into buying these ‘dreams’, it’s hard to get out. It’s like a
sick continual loop that keep on going around and around with you getting
poorer each day.
The problem is people don’t want to work hard and build foundations and a
solid business, they want overnight riches…but in reality, you found out that
it just doesn’t work like that.
This is why your product was awesome. It hit the nail right on the head…it
brings the reader into the real world.
Before people discover the truth in your product, tell them to first hit themselves
in the face with a frozen fish… then expose them to the truth…it’ll hurt more
than the fish!
I’m know for certain the guru’s will be want to have your knee caps broken for
revealing what you do, but someone needs to stand up and be a light when there
is total darkness and restlessness in the IM world.

Hey Alex, Alex here. Just got through your report and you are dead on.
Its no wonder why so many people become victims instead of success stories. In fact, as I was pondering my own business, I was disappointed at the fact that the “Pre-U-Turn” type of marketing only puts people deeper in the hole instead of giving them hope and a better income than many are desperate for!
You poured yourself out in the report and I thank you for that!
I believe people are looking for the right way to start an online business only to be shell shocked by all the offers and “dreams” out there. They quickly forget that they are in the marketing business and that means people are in it to market and sell products. Worse of all, this has become the norm.
Thanks for shedding some light and I pray that your report gets in the hands of thousands, if not millions of people who still have hope in a successful business online even after being thrown in a den of lions.
Regarding the competition, I believe that I am the best choice to win because I have a heart and concience and truly want to make a difference in people’s lives. I believe in giver’s gain and that you have to lead with a giving hand.
These may be some good catch phrases, but the truth is people need real direction from someone who really knows the pain they are experiencing. I have been struggling to start a business online searching for the dream. I quit my job to give in to the dream. I had to sell my cars to pay the bill for chasing the dream. I am nearing foreclosure trying to make the “dream” work.
However, I know that its possible and every day that I wake up, my only goal is to serve someone with my experience, knowledge, and God given abilities. My success is closer than I can imagine and with a little push from someone as commited to adding value like you Alex, I know I can get there far sooner.

There’s no doubt in my mind that the phrase you used several times on stage is the key one: ‘This is business’. Treat online marketing as a part-time hobby and you’ll get results to match.
Earn the right to live the ‘dream lifestyle’ and you might get to live it.
Like you, I’ve read ‘The Four-Hour Work Week’, by Tim Ferris several times, including twice on holiday. The key isn’t to be lazy it’s to be effective. Most of us are still struggling with that!

I just finished reading your report and can’t tell you how much it “hit me in the face.” I’ve been trying to make money online now for almost 2 years, to no avail.
Initially I paid thousands of dollars to a guru’s coaching program … unfortunately I got a coach that was just biding time and left in the middle of my coaching period. I was assigned a new coach but I was so far in the wrong direction, it was like throwing money down the drain! And believe me, I don’t have it to throw away! I’ve been looking for that “magic bullet” and buying product after product … some good, some bad, but none making me any money. What a fool I’ve been!
Your report really stimulated me toward making a business plan and to stop throwing good money after bad. I’ve been without a paycheck for many months now and am determined to find my internet court and play in it! Having your guidance as one of the three you select would be an amazing blessing.

Awesome information in Guru’s Dream…and yes, it’s what NEEDED to be said. I’ve been on a payment plan for the guru’s dream for almost two years. Thankfully my writing has kept me afloat, but as you can imagine, it’s not passive income.

There’s enough money changing hands online everyday that everyone could make enough to ease their life, if not change its course forever. I strive for complete financial freedom to give me the credibility I need to help others gain theirs.

Well you’ve done it again and spoken from the heart. You’ve put into words what many disillusioned people have been thinking for a long time and your report should give hope and encouragement to the masses.
It was very cleverly written though. You said just enough to get your “guru” message across without being offensive.
Why do I want to be one of your success stories before Christmas? Well, to prove it’s not just young internet savvy males who can do it. Most women have an unfair disadvantage as not only do we have to work, but usually we have to run a home, cook the meals and look after the children/family as well, so fitting in those extra hours to wade through all the information (and misinformation) available on the internet on how to “make it” is really difficult. It’s even more difficult if you haven’t been raised in a world of technology and find the phrases used by marketers like speaking a foreign language!
Last week I sat in the doctors waiting room and the lady next to me who my age confessed she’d tried to kill herself – twice. She felt she’d nothing to live for. Her children were grown up and no longer needed her and she felt her husband only wanted her to cook and clean. She felt useless with no sense of purpose.
Having given up her career to look after her family, she now found herself redundant. With no hobbies, no sense of purpose and what she felt were no particular skills, she just wanted to end it all.
There are many people like that out there – not all so desperate but certainly at an age where they wonder what’s the point and what opportunities could possibly open up for them, especially when there is such little job security.
I’d like to be a success story in the hope I could convince others of my age, in order to change their lives, they only need to “change” their lives. Surely, if I can do it, anyone can!

I just read Guru’s Dream and I was impressed by the forthright honesty in there regarding the truth about Internet Marketing.
Obviously there is no quick and easy way to make (say) $ 10,000.00 a month without doing any work.
So why should you pick me?
I am highly intelligent, I have excellent skills (including proper use of the English language and extensive computer-related skills), I have the ability and ambition to learn new things, and I even have a Business Plan. However, I keep getting stuck on the details of how to do this and that. I’m so close to getting started, and yet I still seem to be so far away.
I’m keen to start my own Internet-based business, as I am a maverick and I like to do thinga my own way, and thus I have not had much success in the traditional job market. I don’t like to kowtow to someone else’s rules and regulations when I don’t agree with those rules and regulations. I have been job-hunting and trying to start my own business for about 6 months now with a minimum of success, and a lot of roadblocks, obstacles and stumbling blocks.
I’m an INTJ by the Myers-Briggs personality type classification system, and I’m also 50 years old now, so those things all count against me when trying to find a traditional “job”.
I have been almost sucked into signing up for a couple of “mentoring programs” that cost between $ 5000.00 and $ 10,000.00, but luckily managed to back out before getting burned.
I’d be happy to give $ 5000.00 to someone who could actually help show me how to get started and MAKE $ 10,000.00 first! Can you do that?

Newbie – Advanced – Expert – Guru…..You left my category off, I believe even a Newbie would be insulted at me putting myself in their category after being on line for nearly 6 yrs…and still spinning my wheels.
I got to the bullshit button LOL it looked so familiar, least this time it was obvious….OMG so many times I pushed that button and yep fell for everything that you noted in your report..I just want to SCREAM! If I stop going after the next solution I guess I could have taken my kids on a holiday, something we haven’t been able to do since they were born.
Talk about a wake up call….you have just shown me that I have wasted my life, my kids are growing up fast and Fun has never fit into my schedule…LOOKING for the answers, reading and learning and finding so much contradictory advice out there has lead me round in circles for most of my time online…And Guess What…It’s all my Fault!! God is so hard coming to terms with That!!

I’ve never been so consumed with anything I have read like I was with this report…I just couldn’t stop reading until I reached the end, and in one sitting.

I enjoyed reading your report Alex as it confirmed what I have been thinking for some time, that ethical marketers like you are not happy with what they have been doing, despite the financial rewards.
I didn’t start out with the idea of making money by selling in the internet marketing niche. In fact, my first website was created with the idea of helping people with a certain problem. It won’t ever make me rich but it fills a need for many people.
I regard myself as an honest person and I would hate it if the only way I could make a living on the internet is by exploiting people and selling them false hope.
I know for sure that there are other genuine people like you in the IM niche but there are also a number of snake-oil salesmen peddling the same old stuff to an ever-increasing hungry crowd.
But the market is maturing and their days are numbered.

The sentence you made: “The system is what makes money, not the product” has been an eye opener for me.
Having a system makes you conscious of all what’s happening all around you, and in that moment you become able to make it better.

Thanks for your download page of The Guru Dream and which I have read with interests because it reflects the life of many internet marketers who begin their journey expecting to make money people but find it is not as easy as been said because one should understand there are many newcommers coming into the market with thousand of products already fielded in the market. As a newbie everything interests you because money can be made but failing to find out that there lot of things to learn about the market the products,traffic and many other things . It is not as easy as mentioned by many gurus because they know what it takes to make earning on the net, people like me follow to buy their products but you find it is difficult to implement of many technical factors because of no proper guidance and eventually you give up. After reading your book which I have special interest because it reveals the daily life of internet struggle of a person and you are nailing direct to the point . This book will be eyeopener to the many who read because it is real story which includes me.

Great free report. I am a big fan of giving free content first. I have taken notes from a number of guru’s launches. Many give really good useable pre-launch content. I got several great business models from their free stuff.
I loved your oil rig scenario. I ended up with 9 pages of notes and listened to your previous videos again.
I have spent over two years collecting info. The lack of technical skills has been my EXCUSE for not being successful.
I need your help to push me into action, faster.
I am writing a diet journal which I will post each week. I have been on the diet for one month so I know it works.

As other people have commented, there’s no doubt that giving brings more back. Karma or mathematics, it doesn’t seem to matter. But giving of yourself, rather than just a freebie ebook (or even a pint!) counts for so much more.
Congratulations on stepping up to do that, too. The book is excellent, as you know, but mainly because so much of you went into it. Hopefully, we can all take note and act on that lesson too.
Now, obviously you’ve created quite a stir, and there are some famous names appearing on this thread, as well as those who’d like to take up your offer of help. And even the famous names can use a little help at times.

Thank you for your straightforward report. Your words echo so many of us out here who just want to make things work online, without having to slave away at the keyboard and monitor, trading that for the 60-80 hours per week we’ve had in the corporate world, or otherwise. What we do want is the culmination of dreams that allow an online business to be bringing in enough income to live without encumbrances, not going day to day wondering when something else will break down, or when the next downsize or lay off will happen.
Too many of us have also been deluded and deceived by the marketing hypes of “guru” and “non-guru” alike. I do understand that to build an online presence and business does take work, but at some point, things should be working in my favor, so that I am not constantly chasing after leads or partners, or traffic, etc.
I know you speak from your heart, and you are not hyping the latest “guru-bashing” drivel that some feel is their stake in the market arena. I follow several of the “gurus” to learn, both for better and worse!
I work as the sole provider for my lovely wife and our two young sons, who desperately want me home to be with them for more time to do the things we want to do.
I am not looking for an over-abundance of wealth, but to be able to live comfortably, teach others what we know (and have leared as well), so that they can live out their dreams also. I want to give back, in more ways than I am able to at the moment.
I want more time with my sons before they grow too old to want to do anything with their dad, and to lead them in the ways that they can be successful online as well, never to sit around waiting and wondering “what might have been…”
I know you have many, many posts to read through and it will be a difficult decision on your part. I don’t envy you. But I wish you well in your choices, and I pray that you will use keen discernment in your final choices. May whoever you choose act swiftly on all that you provide them to become the successes they deserve to be!

I have spent to much time doing things that waste time and take away from what I really care about and its good to see that I am not the only one. I have to confess that I was about to delete the email I had received from you about giving away free report for people who are busy with online business. Then before I hit the delete button I said to myself what the heck let me see what it is all about but,I am not going buy anything at this time. And I am glad I change my mind to atleast review your report.
Alex,I feel am not least smart in making good decisions and doing something about it. My story may be similar like other newbies or may be even worse than anybody else.
Your report has atleast convinced me that I am not alone who is struggling in the first attempts to learn all the tricks and tips to make an online business a success.
I have been financially struggling to make ends meet and often became unsuccessful to hold on with a job. Ended up finding job in different industries from office clerical work to retail stores and now in restaurant industry working my butt off doing cashiering and customer service duties.
All that I read in your report about the first time struggle of people building an online business was axactly what I am going thru. I noted one important point that, everytime I went thru my emails in search for information I was lured in by the convincing sales page -‘proof of income…and strong Guarantee’ and believe it or not I have spent my hard earned money buying their products thinking as an investment to sacrifice to build my online business dream.
I have been buying tons of information products since 2005 and build a library of CD’s by downloading what I purchased and often got lost in so many information getting nowhere as of yet. I have noticed that I become obsessed and today am in dept of $10,000.
Honestly, as I was reading the contents of your report, I was laughing so hard till my belly hurt and said to my self I am really stupid making my self financially broke by buying all that information. Ofcourse just couple of them have been a good use in helping me understand the online business.
When I said earlier that I was about to delete your report I meant it because I was so sick and tired of being lured to buy another product when I am totally broke and cannot even afford to buy.
My email account is so flooded with all internet marketers sending me emails with new information daily and I seem to be wasting my valuable time just researching the right key to my investment.
I have literarily given up hope and just kept on deleting all emails that came in. But I have saved emails from Guru’s like Mike filsaime and Rich Schefrem. Infact I created a separate folder to store their incoming emails.
You are absolutely right whatever you have mentioned in your report. Every word is true and valuable. I do need a good mentor such as yourself. I cannot afford another dime in investment as I dont make much from my curret career as a cashier in Restaurant industry.
So guide me the right way to internet success. I will look forward to your emails daily.

An excellent motivational report and, of course, I especially like the idea of having a mentor. I’m in the position where, after many years of trying to make my fortune on the internet, my friends are bored with me telling them I spent the week-end (and every evening) ‘on my internet business’ (with nothing to show for it).
I use one of your methods: giving stuff away for free and I have a very smal list as a result. But none of them want to buy anything I promote and they won’t answer any questions I send out to help me find out what they’re interested in.
I want to be able to make a regular monthly income by the time I retire. This could be as soon as next March if I achieve my monthly income target by then!

Wow, Alex! I read your report cover to cover, and it took
hours….. not because it was hard reading, not at all! But
because I got so inspired that I started a couple of Notepad
documents and kept adding to them as I went along. One
was a list of personal and business goals – which I’d never
actually written down before (even though lots of people say
it’s important, but I had never done it).
The other Notepad document I kept adding to was ideas of
what to write in my blog when I pull it out of mothballs and
revive it soon. Everything you said in your book has totally
reinforced what I already believed, and in a way that made
things become crystal clear. You see, I am already in the 1%
of people who wants to hear what you’re saying.
I have always wanted to be totally honest with my followers
(when I have some), and not just try to make money from
them. So it is so refreshing to hear you talking about helping
people and giving them real value. I applaud you for having
the guts and the personal values to make this “U-Turn”. I
loved what you said about “owing it” to us to tell the truth.

Alex, I won’t tell you why I should be one of the 3 lucky people
chosen for mentoring……. because those spots need to go to
someone besides me. You see, I have recently started
participating in a coaching/mentoring program that is
FINALLY showing me the steps to take and HOW to take
them. [I took time out from my "homework" to read your book,
though, and I'm sooooooo glad I did!]
I’ve had a lot of theory knowledge of WHAT to do to build a
business. But, like you, I’ve been stuck on the technical stuff
for years… (yes, literally years… as I’ve been online six years
longer than you!!!!)
But my late husband and I were always stuck in the situation
you describe in the last three paragraphs of page 41. We
were always looking for the perfect paint-by-number plan;
and when we would find one, it involved “work”, so we would
keep looking for something we could start “faster” (since work
takes time). Well, it was like the tortoise and the hare. If we
had stopped jumping all over the place, and had just stuck to
one plan even though it took time, we would have gotten
somewhere faster. Here it is 10 years later, and I’m finally
just starting to build a solid foundation.
I also love the statement you make, right after saying you
owe it to us to tell the truth: “Because with a little kick start,
even with nothing you can create something.” Thanks, Alex,
for giving ME a little kick start with this awesome report. You
have reassured me I’m on the right path. You have inspired
me to actually write down my goals. And you have motivated
me to get my Net Biz Adventures blog going again, so people
can follow me as I learn and experiment online.
Plus, your report has reminded me of the importance of
BALANCE between Internet time and personal goals – “so I
don’t lose sight of why I started this online venture in the first
place.” That puts my thoughts into words so well.
P.S. – I’ve been trying to cut down on the emails I receive so I
can focus better, and I’ve been unsubscribing from a lot of
lists. I wrote a pen and paper list of who’s who, so I could
remember why I needed to stay on certain lists. I had had a
question mark next to your name, Alex…. because I wasn’t
sure if I was receiving enough value. I just couldn’t remember
what you were all about….
BUT LET ME ASSURE YOU, when I was 15 pages into your

I have been online now full time for about 3 years.. have done quite well with a couple of things, my first 18 months online was a complete nightmare.. falling for all the hype & sales pages with massive dreams only to be deflated time & time again.. (info’ overload too) ..
Then finally getting to the good people, only to have wasted thousands of dollars.. and have no money left at the time.. (go figure)..
Quitting or giving up was NEVER an option for me.. while things have gotten much better now….
I failed fast then faster.. LOL but feel it was all part of a greater learning experience, I can laugh now at some of the things I did do..
Crazy alright.. Taking 6 months to learn something only to find it obselete once I got there..

The tragedy of what is well known as Sept 11 took the industry that was my life and destroyed 30% of the businesses that made their livelihoods there and took the rest and put them on life support fighting every day to stay alive. I kept my business going at a loss because of the employees that were with me for years would have suffered terribly with out time to transition. I lost almost everything trying to stay around long enough for others who were depending on me to remain on financial footing. I believed I was capable enough that I could survive the fall and rebuild again doing something else. I turned to build an internet business or I should say two over the past year and a half starting from knowing nothing to building something to be proud of. However being proud of ones efforts does not always interpret into financial success. I have been beaten up by the directional hype and at this point angry that so many would take advantage when I have always tried to give. I have come to very well understand that he who thinks he knows but knows not is an idiot run from him. He who knows and knows he knows is a teacher, follow him. He who knows he knows not is a student, teach him. I am still the student and would welcome the help of someone who would be willing and able to help me as I have endeavored to help others. People come into your life for a reason and I hope the reason here will be in answer to my heart felt desire to express thanks for helping me when I have come so far and gotten so close.

Thans for the report. I just had to have a break and go make a cup of coffee before commenting on this blog. I think by now, or if anyone has been trying to make it online for more than a few months, like I have, they ought to “see it” by now. I do. What a fool I have been. I did spend a lot of money on the next magic button, over and over. But just recently I did realise that I was going about it all wrong. So now I wish I knew more so I could GIVE to people. I wish I was really good at something so I could help someone else and help them achieve something positive. But that realisation put me back to square one. I know nothing! I wasted much time and effort and enthusiasm, on the computer 15 hours straight, working till 5 in the morning.All that was wasted because I was sucked in by all the hype and bought ecverything that was going to make me rich. Well now I am ready to learn how to crawl. It’s all about honesty, value and growing a good reputation. I am back to where I started, but have learnt that what I was doing was bullsh*t. Now, I DO NOT want to be like most of the gurus out there. I don’t want to sell some crap product and take the money and the product does not work. All that has made people more mistrusting of people and it is hard to get someone to trust you and see you as a genuine person. I have no money now and am struggling week to week. That’s not supposed to pull on any heart strings. It’s just the way it is at the moment, but I still won’t try and scam anyone into buying a non existing dream just so I will have enough money for the rent. Everything in your report is true, and I wish every newbie had to read this before they start. You have just driven home that doing business on the internet has to begin at the beginning, and to treat it as a business that you grow from the ground up, to build a lasting reationship with your customers/subscribers and work on that, then the money comes later. You put a lot of time and thought into your report, and then you gave it away. I envy the feeling you must have, to do something like this and then GIVE it. I want that feeling too. Thank you Alex

but I NEVER did anything about it.
I now know that with your guidance and help, I am now ready for success. I believe that all of the bad experiences I have had was actually a learning curve that many people experience. The idea of giving up is not in my volcabury. Thanks for the “kick in the rear” which I desperately needed to motivate myself.
The only complaint that I have is that I have “socks’ older than you–ha! But I guess that the old saying is true–You are never too old to learn!

Thanks for the report. I’m going to be honest with you. I’ve been on your mailing list since the launch of “Post Launch Profits” and frankly I considered you to be exactly what you talk about in this report and that is just another “copycat marketer”. I never finished reading through your PLP report because it just seemed to be a lot of you tooting your own horn with a lot of fluff but with no real actionable steps to take – just another free report to get me on your list so that you could inundate me with emails containing your affiliate links to other guru products. I guess it is true that in most peoples’ minds free = worthless.
I have to admit though that you did put a lot of good practical advise for newbie IM’ers in the Guru’s Dream report. I also have to be honest with myself and admit that you described me to a “T” as someone who has bought into the IM dream and has been chasing the fads for about a year and half now with not much to show for it. I definitely do need to find the “style” and get rid of the “fashion” and start building a real business foundation.
Good luck with your “U-turn” in your business. You mention social meadia/marketing and Web 2.0. A lot of copycat marketers and gurus have been using those same buzzwords to sell the Dream – so really isn’t this just another fad?
I know you have the time and money resources and the talent to make your U-turn into a success. But a lot of us newbies, with wives and kids and full-time jobs just don’t have those same luxuries. A lot of people telling their rags-to-riches stories always say “Look at me. If I could do it then so can you.” Well, that’s very inspirational but most of the time the people reading that story are starting off from a totally different place. They can’t repeat that success story because they are starting off with different talents, resources and obligations.
Well I doubt this post will put me in the running for your prizes, but I do want to thank you, Alex, for opening up my eyes to some of the mistakes I’ve been making in my thinking and the paths that I have been following.

I agree 100% with everything you said. It all started about 5-6 months ago, when I bought my first Guru Ebook.
Mr. Guru then referred me to his ‘friend’ with a special deal on his friend’s product. Lo and behold a few days later Mr. Guru’s ‘friend’ referred me to his ‘friend’ for a special deal…
You can see where I’m going with this…
Needless to say, it did not take very long for me to receive a zillion emails per day and I soon realized that this is a lot of BS!
If you want to make some money in this industry you must get rid of all the snake oil Guru’s and rather align yourself with ethical marketers, like Alex who have your best interest at heart.
Throughout Alex’s report, his integrity and sincerity shines through. He is not giving newbies the impression that they can become rich overnight…but he tells the whole truth and nothing but the truth!

This is an invaluable gift. I must first of all thank you for this gift, it gave me a wonderful insight to how to go about internet marketing. As a matter of fact I have being on the internet for God know when, but recently I have being spending between 12 to 13hours each day to find out about that missing link. i have lots of friends that want to get this link too but it has always be difficult, it is like going from pillar to post each day. For your information I’ve been following the internet marketing world for more than 2 years now fulltime. I bought my first ebook two years ago when I just started all this. Since my budget is very low paying for that ebook was the only money I spent in internet marketing stuff in two years. Just last month I bought some more stuff.
So basically I learn how to make money online just from free resources. Until now I still don’t even own any domain or paid hosting. All the money I have made so far is through free resources. I did that because my intention of making online is more towards helping others who have very low capital to make money online instead of making big buck for myself like most of gurus taught us to do. If I can’t do it myself with small capital how could I teach others to do the same. And the sad thing is most of the newbies has very low capital to begin with. And asking them to buy thing at the wrong time will only get them quit their internet marketing journey quicker.
From my reflection on my life I understand who I am. Even when I have money most of them I spent on my parents and siblings but so little on myself. I don’t dream to have luxury cars, house or materialistic stuff. I don’t think I would be happy with all of those. The only time I would really feel happy when I can help others or show something good to them to make their making money online journey a lot easier. And that is what I’m trying to learn all this while. Instead of teaching them how to make make millions, I really want to teach people how to make money little by little and enjoying their journey at the same time.
In my opinion if we teach people to make a lot of money in a very short time it will just like giving them winning lottery tickets. And take a look at what most people end up after winning lotteries. I believe most of them will say they hope they didn’t win the lotteries in the first place. That is why I’m not into the guru’s internet marketing systems very much. So much hype and false dreams. Even if they make it they still end up losing something just like what you Alex felt before.
But then I still follow a lot of them because that’s how I keep track what is going on the internet. And from this knowledge I know what is the trend in the internet marketing world. And that is why I said earlier I’m not surprise at all to this report. Internet marketing is all about understanding the trend. The one who is in the beginning of the trend is going to be the one to reap most of the benefit. And I also have learned that to see real growth in our online business is by increasing our value and find your targeted market. And I believe that is what you are doing right now. You recognize the trend, target your real market and increase your value along the way. And you take action quick so you won’t lose in the end. So that is good for you and your targeted followers. Both in a win-win situation.
Anyhow in my opinions the internet marketing system that has been taught today and the one your are going to teach is still not for everyone. Just like you said there are newbie, advanced, expert and guru. But you also need to understand that different people have different personalities, traits, values, purpose and more importantly needs at certain period of time. So we all at present are at different situation in our online and life journey. And the way how we should make money online is depended on the way how we understand at which level of knowledge we have and what kind of person we are.
There are so many ways of making money online not just ‘internet marketing’. The important things is you have the right resources for your situation, take the right action and patiently wait for the result to emerge. When you get the result step up further and continue to move forward. And the best thing I love about the journey of making money online is that it teaches me to become a better person quicker and realise sooner what that is out there for me to grab. So hopefully all of us here could realise that too.
So to end this thanks Alex for the report once again and I hope you will achieve your online and life goals. I’m now in the process of putting in place what I have learned so far. I wish I could write better English so that I could move forward quicker. Maybe I could invest some money later on for some English writing lesson. There are (2) other key points that stuck out for me:

I am curious about your statement: “I’ve never found a traffic system that gives me the step by step exact plan to drive more traffic to my site – I need one for Web 2.0 traffic”.
If there is one thing I have been ’searching’ for is the “traffic system” that would give me the step by step “exact” plan to drive more traffic to my sites.
I have found and use many different methods to drive traffic and add subscribers to my list(s) and like many things we are “sold” some work well and some don’t.
One conclusion I have made is you have to find what works for you and stay focused on what you are trying to accomplish.
In my Viral Marketing Stategies Blog I share on a daily basis the techniques and information I have “discovered” that others can take advantage of and use in their businesses. I beleive it is working with many of my visitors spending an hour or more on my site.
Alex I hope you can respond to the finding the “traffic system” statement.

The report, well written, kind of obvious if you think about it enough and dont get all caught up in the hype, but of course too many dont think about things much and do get caught in the hype. But who’s fault is that? Theres or the sellers?
If the markets there, which it still is, its gonna be filled right?
It takes special people to see the newer opportunities and make profit from them whilst the lemmings are still gleefully leaping off the cliff hoping to hit that magic button on the beach that will catapult them into paradise, all they get is wet and a sore butt if theyre lucky.
People need to stand still and think for themselves and trust themselves, they need to have mentors to refer to, but they mustnt be like sheep blindly following with no thoughts of their own.
It seems youre a man who realised this too, its great to have made your acquaintance albeit online, hopefully offline too

I have tried to read and learn all I could but must admit that I was doing it all wrong. I am one of those that spent thousands of dollars and have nothing to show for it not even a dime. They always said it takes money to make money but I am beginning to believe that may not be all true. I would like to be your next success story by Christmas 2008. I found your “Gurus Dream” production refreshing to say the least; it gave me renewed heart in business. I was able to relate to the gist of your article and have always tried to maintain high ethical standards. I also note that in business’s (other than the internet) I have owned and run in the past it (being ethical) has cost me money as it has been the fast, flamboyant talker that has won over a potential client not the (much better) end result they would have achieved by using my services (highlights the need to let them know). I have also noticed, travelling to other parts of the world (which I will not mention here) that the old/current way of operating in business is part of the culture. Having purchased many programs and e-books that have produced perceived value I am now hoping that you are able to provide me with some real value.
I am currently developing my plan and documenting my goals. It would be excellent to be able to include you hand holding as part of the plan.

No, really, I mean it – I really enjoy your style of communicating and your way of putting a mental picture in the ‘minds eye’ of the people you’re getting your point across to. That style, along with your obviously sincere way of being, really helps a person relate their own past up’s and down’s to your up’s and down’s in your stories.

Your story lines were excellent, I guess I would put myself out around the oil rig somewhere around the ’small fish trying to grow a little bigger’ point in my Internet career right now.
What that means is, I am starting to produce my own products, and make friends with some of the people that can help me explode my business in the near future – while at the same time building up my loyal members list by providing the people who join my list with a ton of good ‘quality’ information, insightful how-to’s, ebooks, software and fine reports (like this one!) without always trying to ‘make money off them’.
I have also gone through most every bit of the same ‘Gurus Dream’ that you described you’d been through, and then some, so I always treat other’s as I’d always ‘wished’ I had been treated. I can really relate to what you say, although, I picture the whole ‘misleading Guru thing’ more like what I would call the ‘Guru Maze’ (and we’re the mice…).

This has to be the best report I have ever read on what it truly takes to earn money online. It is so refreshing to see someone come clean and tell the online world how this is really done. It really makes so much sense but at the same time makes me mad that I have spent so much money purchasing that “magic button.” I have tried for the last 5 years but know now (after reading your report) that I have been doing it all wrong.
I’ve been telling my wife for years now that I will get this turned around and finally make some money. I kept saying to her, and I keep saying to this day, “just trust me.” I think the trust is starting to ware out. That being said, I rufuse to give up. If I give up then I definitely will never make it. So, I keep looking and keep spending money on that “magic button.” Needless to say, nothing has worked yet. And I say “yet” because after reading your report, I finally see what its going to take and will not stop until I succeed.
Alex, I would love to be picked as one of the three you choose to help. Your morals and values shine through and everyone you come in contact with can tell you are a man of integrity. I see a lot of myself in you, I’m just older. I didn’t finish school either, my mom always told me “one day you’re going to do great things.” Heck, my son is even named Cameron and my dad’s name is Alex. So, after getting to know you from all your reports, posts and emails, I can tell that I have finally found the mentor I need to work with. For some reason, even though I would spend hundreds, sometimes thousands of dollars at a time, on marketing courses and money making programs, I just felt like the person helping me was not after my best interests. I don’t get that feeling with you at all.
I can’t begin to tell you how much of a financial bind I have gotten me and my family into over the years buying the next “guaranteed” way to make money online. I blame myself for getting into this financial mess and I know that I am the only one that can get us out of it. I am committed to making this work. If I wasn’t I would have given up long ago and saved thousands of dollars. I know that with my current situation, nothing will change if I don’t change the way I’ve been doing things. I will do whatever it takes and I know for a fact that you can help me get there. I will dedicate myself for however long it takes to be successfull and I will do whatever you tell me to do. I understand that if a person wants to succedd at something, they need to find someone who is already successful doing it and copy him or her. Well for me, you are that person.
I truly believe you become like who you associate with. Therefore I have made a concious effort to hang around with very successfull people. People who make a lot of money, people wo have a lot of free time. I have even started to act like I am successfull even though I am not yet. Just look at all the pics you have with all those successfull people. You have to believe that they have influenced you to become who you are today. That is why I want to associate myself with you as much as I can and work with you directly.

It isn’t a mere report, it’s nothing less than a revelation!
It’s obvious that a lot of thought and hard work went into it, but it also took courage, conviction, generosity, humility and faith.
Thank you, too, for your decision to risk stepping away from the lucrative world of IM dream-weaving and myth-peddling, in order to lead people out into the real world of online business.

Suffice it to say that I read your report two days ago and have been busy following your teachings ever since, putting into practice what I read in the report.

What a great report, when you talk I listen, and this report did alot for me, I knew that the web was going the way of web 2.0 and you hit it right on the head, I think I would be good for one of your winners as I have been trying to make it on the internet since it started bank in 1993 man was that hard trying to figger out how to build a website, get traffic to it and all the other stuff, but I dident realy get anywhere, and I tryed affilet marketing and a host of other things like Ebay, CJ, Amazon and the list go’s on, and I tryed to follow all the guru’s lol, but just havent had the mentor to take me all the way, I have 3 kids one 11 one 2 1/2 and one 3 1/2, and my wife lol, and I just think that I need a mentor to help me along, your report is outstanding and one of the best I have read.

I am absolutely astounded at the number of people who are so committed and deserving of this once in a lifetime opportunity to work directly with, at least what I consider in my humble opinion, one of the world’s BEST internet marketer’s.
Successful people in all areas have known and believe that you must give in order to receive. Even if you are not a religious person, that very thing is even taught in The Bible. I am a firm believer that the more you give, the more you shall receive.
I have spent thousands of dollars on marketing courses, attended seminars, listened to webinars, teliseminars and read so many books and ebooks that I’ve completely lost count, as I’m sure is the case with the majority of people on this blog. I am not quite sure how you are going to choose the “winners” of this contest, Alex, but I can definitely say without a doubt that I don’t envy you on this one. It will be a very difficult decision. I think everyone on this page deserves this chance!
I am sure my story is the same as a lot of others out there. I am a single Mom of four children, struggling to make ends meet after finding out that my “soulmate” of 9 years decided that the grass was greener on the other side. I lost my Mom unexpectedly in May of this year, and she was by far my biggest supporter. I have been on the internet for a couple of years now, but have decided that I need to find a job just to pay the bills. I have been at home for the last 4 years with my youngest daughter, but since I have no income, my only choice is to go back into the workforce. I will not give up my desire or committment to being successful online. I will succeed in providing a secure future for my family, both financially and emotionally.
You will continue on to even greater successes Alex, because you have a heart of Gold. Please don’t stop what your doing to help others, even though sometimes it’s the more difficult path to go against the grain.

Some very good stuff – but 50% could have been left out… those 84 pages could have been 42, and more interesting… in my humble opinion.
My problems:
1) You say you’re not bashing gurus but that’s almost the only thing you’re doing.
2) You talk about not hyping up stuff and selling a dream but again that’s exacly what you’re doing too.
3) We all know we need a system, nothing new, and many of the so called “gurus” (the ones you’re bashing) do teach that.
A lot of truth in your report, but among these truths, did you remember to mention that:
a) you’re taking the “us vs them” concept (a.k.a “me&you vs the gurus”) so you can create your own circle where gurus are the “bad” people?
b) although you say you don’t want to sell, the link “post launch profits” is there about 11 times or so and that you really do hope to sell?
I’m always wondering – why do people (or gurus) always spend 50 pages telling you why you should listen to them and about 5 pages telling you what you should do to get somewhere?

Are teaching how to sell stuff? Yes.

When I think about what I want to achieve out of internet marketing, one word comes to mind: FREEDOM! Financial freedom so I know all of my bills for the year will get paid. Time freedom so that I can work on what I WANT to do and not what I HAVE to do. Space freedom so that I can live in a decent house instead of living in a crowded apartment. And even personal freedom so that I can focus some of my energy on finding a potential girl and starting a family in the future. I know that the pathway to freedoms of these sorts is paved with sacrifice and hard work (or at least smart work) and I am more than willing to do whatever I need to do to get to where I would like to be. Whether it is sparing some money out of my budget in order to set my new business up correctly or putting some extra time into it rather than hanging out with friends or watching a movie, if I know it will get me farther along towards my freedoms, I know I need to do everything in my power to get it done. To put it more succinctly, I would like to earn at least $100,000 online next year and continue to grow that figure each subsequent year after that. If I can do this, I know the freedoms I am looking for will come with it and my vision for how I see my future will begin to take fold. I am looking forward to the upcoming business I will build and the best way to do so is work with a mentor who has similar business practices and morals that I do! Believe it or not, after 1 year of research my wife passed away and I lost all of my energy. Five months ago I started over from scratch because I forgot so much. I am also weary of the necessary hype and have decided to put up a website and a blog with as much quality information on my area of expertise, as I can generate to establish my credibility and integrity. Your report has confirmed, I am truly on the right track. I have something to say and a voice and a computer and I believe I can help many people. Your ebook of 84 pages could have been much briefer as I got your message rather quickly. What you say is not new to me. That is why I say you reminded me of what I already know. You are entirely correct in emphasising that one must have a plan of action along with goals. You are also correct in your statement that the process is more important than the content. Successful marketers do use a system, or process, no matter what they are selling (content). I have followed your “process” and I know that modeling your process will likely allow me to be successful as well.

What a great report. Thank you. It has really inspired me with some new ideas for marketing my existing product and creating new ones. Like so many people here, I’ve bought many ebooks, and even coaching, which have failed to deliver their promises. So I wasn’t sure what to do next – how to actually make money, but feel I have more direction now and am starting to formulate a plan.
I recently lost my job and have a health problem which makes it difficult to get another one, but I am looking at it as a blessing in disguise – allowing me to finally focus and move forward with my business.
My dream is to have a successful business so that I can have a better lifestyle, spend more time with family and friends and also help other people achieve the same.
I once worked for a homeless charity in London and set up a mentoring project. It was amazing to see how mentoring changed lives. So I’d love to help some disadvantaged people set up an online business. One small drawback – I need to become successful myself first ?
I could certainly do with a helping hand, like so many others here, there is no money left for a mentor. But whoever you choose, I’m sure we will all benefit enormously from your ebooks.

It is an interesting report, from experience I can tell anyone that the basic formula of driving traffic to a salespage does work however it requires – if you follow the old school thinking and do not have a list a constant stream of funds until you figure out how to get traffic plus the basic maths right of conversions versus the cost of traffic.
Web 2 is the best way to avoid most of the costs of traffic and ………
The idea of giving away information for free is to my mind critical. This will actually achieve something when you have nothing else in terms of your bank account to pour into your idea/business. It will achieve some progress when you are stagnating for funds and ideas and the ways to do this without the expense of a website are to use the web 2.0 blogs and so on.
For those who seek a mentor then I would caution you to use your own intuition and if you find a mentor who will not guide you when then they do not know the answer – then they either do not know the answer or do not know of others who can help you and also they can not think outside their own box or constraints. A mentor like this who only will help you if you use their system , their products and can not guide you to another who can help you is not a mentor but a constraint. They may mean well and have good intentions but if they will not guide you to achieve progress using anothers tools or system to their own then they do not have the confidence and vision and belief in themself and yourself and what they teach.
A $5 dollar spanner will do the job of a $50 spanner if the mechanic takes the time and care when it is used to not break it and to learn to use it to its ability.
A good mentor will adapt their system to use whatever tools that you as the student can afford to make work and recognise that their system will work even if the student does not have the funding to use their tools and has to crawl both financially and in time and learning first. A good mentor will admit they are not familar with these tools , however they will do the job of their system and will guide you to those who can help you to achieve the progress you require to make themselves worthy of their mentorship and a success to be able to upgrade to their more expensive tools and systems.
As stated in the report their is so much information in the internet that it is more than anyone can ever absorb and you must crawl before you can walk. Even your mentor must do this and if they will not aid you when you have to crawl then they are constraint.
Maybe this seems a bit harsh , hopefully this will also save many out there from very costly inaction or no action.
Take care and never give up, do not accept constraint. Those that constrain you will fall off the end of the system as you progress beyond them. Continue your progress and you will leave them behind naturally and in due course.
Their is a light at the end of the tunnel, sometimes it just needs the right fuel to be brighter!

Your report was awesome, and it really opened my eyes. I have been slowly gathering information for the past 6 months, and have yet to get anything started. I am suffering from information overload. E-books, clickbank, SEO, Traffic, Adsense, ebay, blogs, PLR……. I’ve gathered it all, and still am stuck as how to get it all started. Your report showed me that I need to get a system in place and build from there. I think I can do that. I have been searching for that elusive magic button, and your report has shown me that I need to stop searching and start building my business from the ground up. I really would love to be one of your 3 students. I have been looking for a way to stay home with my two sons, but still bring home the bacon at the same time. It was an incredible report and very long report but I enjoted every page.
Your honesty and personal experience was I am sure what many of us has experienced on the internet today.
Your report hits the nail right on the head when it comes to building a business on the internet.
Many thanks for that great report and I for one shall be taking some time to implement many of very valid points you make.
I am sure that one of the main reasons many people enter internet marketing online is precisely because of the so called “magic bullet” which as you say simply does not exist.
Its the laying of the foundations of this business taht is most important.
The huge fallacy is that you can have your paypal bulging with dollars overnight. It does happen when the business has good foundations and unbelievably so true that the very succesfull marketers have a solid foundation in their business that makes the money, income and freedom and not the product or software.
After all having a business offline like I did for 15 years is really not much different to having a business online, and yet many have been led to believe that if you press that magic button ( or buy this software) it will put money in your pockets overnight. It is definately true that anyone can start and build a business online a lot easier that you would online, but unfortunatley the scam merchants have sodl you a dream, which is simply not possible.
Online business takes a different kind of effort and if that effort is directed in the correct way, then the rewards can be huge.
It’s so true that it does not matter what area of online business that you’re in, if you work at it and provide value regardless of weather you are doing Payper click or SEO or in any niche markets, if you build on one area of your expertise ( even if you are learning – and who is’nt).

Probably like everyone starting out online I’ve bought countless products having been caught in the hype. I have to admit that I did notice and have since started un-subscribing from most lists that do nothing but take up yet more of time reading their offers etc
I am now looking to embrase social media or web 2.0 as it creates a more involved community and opens up relationships between the members and the site owner. It builds some kind of a family hence has zero room for hype.

Hello Alex, I’m in England sat at my computer at gone 2am. I have bought into TOO MANY get rich quick schemes and clickbank programes that I swear I’d be a few thousand richer if I HADNT bought them ha ha. I read your Report and I have to say I am very intrigued… Impressed and motivated to go at it myself. I have one slight problem, I’m not entirely sure what I can offer others. The main reason I want help is now when my children look for me they go straight to the pc and ASSUME I am there, when they are playing, I’m asking them to “keep it down” whilst i have to concentrate etc. I’m sure lots of people know where I am coming from. Your report has inspired me to go with the Blog idea but I’m not sure what I have to offer. I’m jack of all trades, master of none so to speak.

You have certainly left no stone unturned in presenting the TRUTH. I think the majority of newcomers to the internet are all sucked into the web laid out by the so-called gurus, myself included.
I have been on the internet trying to make an income for the past 18 months, with just a mere trickle into my account.
You report is just what I needed to make me realise that I would need to change my course if I were to derive an income. I am 75 years old and am at present still gardening part-time in order to make enough money to make ends meet. My body has been telling me for some time now that I must find an alternative and that is why I turned to the internet.
I would dearly wish to be fortunate enough to win the competition. Although I am older than many of the others in the competition, I am still very alert and have taught myself how to do many things on the web, all that I have been lacking is a simple and definitive plan for success.
One thing I would like to ask you, is it possible for you to set the videos up as a download? In this way, we can watch each video many times without having to use up precious usage allowance.
Looking forward to your future efforts and I am sure that many others are feeling the same way.

, I almost felt like a thief at times when people would buy what I was pushing but then there would be no further interaction as I just took the money and bought something else with it thinking I was ‘doing business’ because this sale bought this new product to sell which sold enough to buy this new product to sell etc ad nauseum.
I could not have stopped reading if I wanted to…which I didn’t. You have certainly touched a nerve here as far as online marketing goes.
I have been online for some time and bought into the ‘guru dream’…too many times. I have tried to sell many ebooks, softwares and such but purely on a ‘hey I can make money with this’ mentality. YOU ARE RIGHT! It just didn’t work. Oh one or two sales here and there, lots of time submitting free ads here, there and everywhere but because there was no system in place none of it led anywhere and I have nothing to show for all the effort.

Between you and Rich Schefren, yeah like that guy a lot, you now have me wishing I could just brain-dump and begin with a clean slate, at the beginning, doing it right.
I’ll start by re-reading this report, then Post Launch Profits, then the PLPSecrets and then move onto Rich’s stuff and read that again.
I’m no youngster so learning has now become work for me but I’m a hard worker so I’m up to the task.

Having read your report I initially came away with the same old feeling I usually get when reading these reports, good report but so what!
Then I had a light bulb moment. So what! So flippin what! You fool. The reason you don’t succeed on the internet is because you are a lazy so and so. You have had opportunity after opportunity to follow a successful system or a successful person over the years and failed to do it. Result, no internet business, lots of money spent on all the next big things, same 9 to 5 existence.
Why did that happen after reading your report? Probably timing. I am approaching 50 years of age and I have worked hard all my life for other people and the excuses have to stop. Now is the time to stop playing at it and completely focus on building an online business and work and work until I have the business I want.
Why do I need your help. Easy really, so that I have someone to turn to when the going gets tough, as I’m sure it will. Someone there to ensure I do things right. Someone there to ask the stupid questions without feeling embarrassed. A guide, a mentor and a friend, because we all need one of those. A promise I will make to you here and now is; if you choose me I will continue the ethos of helping and help others to find their way to a better future.

I liked your new internet business model, it shows courage and knowledge.
I’m an oldie, liked to build the occasional website to cater for minority hobby and feel good activities. The recent global economical situation has depleted my income and I’m now urged to monetize my websites, hence the interest in your report. The way i see it now, is that I’ll have to start from scratch with a new, purpose built site in a lucrative niche. I could do with a guiding hand, perhaps by remote control as we live on the opposite sides of the globe.

Well, just can’t leave it there, now can we? The word does do justice but I feel the need to elaborate.
Your ideas and values speak volumes! I have been scratching around, compared to some people on this blog, for just only a short while. I have been wanting to do something in internet marketing since the spring of this year.
I’ve dabbled in pay per click affiliate marketing, and yep not, one sale! Although I have learned quite afew things to change that. In fact I was about to change and fix things when this report came along.
I am getting desperate to sort something out and soon. Why? I’m a self employed kitchen fitter and with the econmic climate the way it is I am rather worried about normal day work sustainig me, up to, and more importantly beyond x-mas. I also have family coming to visit us, here in the UK, from California for X-mas. I’m getting to the point of worrying about whether I’ll be able to cope with the bills let alone having extra mouthts to feed.
This report is all about what I want to be! Before I turned to Internet Marketing I had already been doing research on Investing. The only problem is I don’t have the money nor the credit rating to do it. What I’ve been learning over the last couple of years has been fantastic. The most horrific thing is that only one percent of the UK population retire financally free. The source that I have larned that from is already on a mission to improve that statistic if only by one percent.
It is your attitude and many others attitudes that have left me feeling the same way. I don’t just look at the, “what’s in it for me”, but also how someday I’ll be able to give back to to others. The biggest thing that excites me is when I’ll come to the day of being able to help my family and my wifes family with ways to make money.
I already started to have a dream whilst knowing what I know already and what I am constantly learning. The thing is I’ve just now realised that I have already started a blob only not in blog format where you would normally leave a comment. I didn’t even know that until tonight, when I went back and visited my dormant website that I opened back in Aug. It was idea I had and nearly has gotten left by the wayside. The post on it is only a mission statement or the site itself.
If you pick me Alex, to mentor, I think it can be a really great site that will help countless others with even more than just Internet Marketing.
I’m off now to figure out how to change that mission statement to a proper blog.

I am one of those who has bounced from one thing to the next and to no avail. Part is due to lack of knowledge and more so lack of ACTION on that knowledge. Goals are very important and I am guilty of not sticking to them in my online activities. I will forge on and FOCUS on my goal setting this week and see how much progress I actually make instead of checking my email. Now I am glad I did check my email today and actually downloaded your report and READ it. Some days I pay for them, download them, and have still not read them. My first goal, STOP and read and organize all that I do have.

I want to thank you for confirming my thoughts on web 2.0. I have just started my journey into online marketing but doing my homework in advance has lead me to believe that the social networking is the place to really get going. I may be at a little disadvantage as I am 60 years old and most ofthe social sites are for a much younger crowd, but then again it may be to my advantage because some of the younger people will look tome for help and that is what I really want. I believe likeyou, that if you help enough people get what they want you will get what you want.

So I have offered to teach people 14 different things I know about internet marketing via video. They are only basic things, but what the hell.
I suppose I got into the thought of thinking everybody knows these things and if i offered this type of help it would be seen as…. well speaking down to people. What an idiot I have been.
You were there and lots of other people will be there so i might as well share that knowledge and have some fun doing it.

First of all I want to thank you for your report, you`re really a honest and reliable man.
You are different than most big names on the internet, and I may know because I`m a subscriber of your list since 4 December 2006 I join your membership Easy Profit Auction.
Now why do I deserve to be one of the lucky 3 persons?
First I want to tell you something about me. My name is arian van osch I`m married and have 2 lovely kids I live in The Netherlands. Living in The Netherlands has a disadvantage, why? Almost all the seminars or tele seminars are in the usa so I must have a lot of money to join those seminars or must wake up in the middle of the night to join those tele seminars you live in Wales so you understand what I mean.
I also make almost all the faults you write in your report, I bought many programs the magic buttons. The biggest fault I`m ( still ) making is spending to much time on my computer. I want to succeed that much I`m spending too little time with my kids and that must be changed.
I`m a white belt so I want to study from a black belt YOU.
I also want that magic button that you have so I can spend more time with my family.
I don`t have any excuses I want to join that 1% and I believe with your help I can achieve that.

WOW mate that report is awesome, i have been online for about 12 months now but i have to say i have spent most of that time doing all the things you tell us not to do in your report, so at the moment i have got 2 different thoughts going on 1 i am kicking myself at all the wasted time and effort as well as money ( but i have to say i have learnt a few useful things along the way so it’s not all wasted time).
But the number 2 thought is the main one and that thought is that i now know the exact route i want to take to achieve my goals and i know if i follow your advice and stick to your every word then i know i will make this work.

Why should you decide to work with me?
Before I answer this question, I want to thank you for putting your time and effort into creating your report. And I want to thank you for sharing it for free. I haven’t followed you for very long, but you now have my full attention, and that doesn’t happen very often. It’s also a RARITY these days for me to get excited from reading an internet marketing report, but I got excited from yours and I still am. Thanks again Alex!
Now on to the question at hand…
I could talk and talk about myself and what I’ve learned over the last 10 years, about my strengths, about all of my online failures, about the times I pit my internet marketing endeavors on the back burner, about the countless hours I worked trying to produce a successful online business. And if I did, these would be valid reasons why I think you should work with me. But the ONLY real reason why you should pick me as one of the three is because of all the people in my life who are in need.
It’s for my mom, who is disabled and has barely been able to keep herself from financial ruin. It’s for my 3 year old nephew, who’s mom is in jail and who is in my mom’s custody. It’s for my wife, who works so hard and gets paid so very little and who wants to be a stay at home mom. It’s for our future family, because we want to adopt from the Ukraine and it’s very expensive. It’s for my church, because I give at least 10% of my income to be used for their outreach programs. It’s for the teen group at my church, because I believe in investing in young people’s lives. It’s for my mother-in-law, who is on the fast track to losing her house. It’s for the incredible people at 13th Tribe Ministries, who work diligently with the homeless in our area. And it’s for the many other people in my life who are in need.
Am I trying to play on your emotions? Not at all. You are obviously someone who understands the importance of helping others. So why help me? It’s very simple. If you help me, then I will be able to better help the people in my life. There is much I want to do but I cannot because I lack the time and money. Having a successful online business will allow me to do these things and more, and that’s what this is all about for me.
Now you know the driving force behind why I have not given up on having a successful online business.

Alex, I’m a writer, but all I find to say is WOW! What a truly honest and hard-hitting book — I can’t wait to read it again in more depth. And sad to say I’m guilty of many of the stated faults — not so much because I believe you can make a million overnight, but because it seems most programs leave out some minute important element that leaves me floundering. (I do floundering quite well, it seems!) But seriously, it’s been a long-time dream of mine to build my own home business and to not be tied to just a job. I did take one mentoring program and have started a small (very narrow) niche website that’s bumbling along. In addition to ramping that one up, I’d like to expand into informational products. Needless to say, I’d love to be one of the “chosen 3.” One way or another, I’ll get where I want to be — but oh to have it be by this Christmas!

Thanks for the report, firstly, I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and i have to say it did strike a chord with me. But the report to me is not the biggest revelation here. I’ll tell you why, I decided sometime ago that i was going to stay away from wading through all my guru emails, internet marketing sign-ups etc. I do when i have free time, read some of them but very few i click through and follow. That, i have to admit has even included Alex Jefferies Emails.
So why have i ended up here actually posting? Well because of this one line in the Email, “please remove yourself off my
list below”
These few words to me validate what Alex is calling his U-Turn. To do such a thing you have to have quite some confidence in what your supplying.
The thing is I myself have been caught in the trap of constantly buying into the next best thing, but i started back in 1995 with network marketing. Now in network marketing the philosiphy is “to get what you want, you have to help others get what they want”, but this got screwed up by people, and clever people at that, not sticking to that plan. They would just suck people in with promises of dreams, exactly like many of the IM Guru’s but simply use them to sell they’re marketing tools and self improvement books to.
Enough to say i failed at Network Marketing because i could not sell a dream that i did not believe myself. So i left around 2004 and started to scan the internet. I looked i tried i failed many many times, i even went to a seminar in London which cost me £1700 which promised a full package and a big green button IN 2007. Bad move there.
Now finally i have manged to start making a small amount but this is costing me via a membership, to learn. Not cheap, currently i may see every 5 to 6 days $22 through clickbank but then some times it will go blank for a week or two. Enough to say my J.O.B is currently propping up my activities.
What struck me once i got to the report and read through it was not the stuff about the guru’s but the requirement to change your outlook and the fact of giving stuff away for free! This took me back to my first thoughts when i learnt about netmarketing “GIVE” enough people what they want and you’ll get what you want, the operative word being “GIVE” not sell.
I have to say thats what inspired me to follow through to here. The simple fact that i could learn to create a business around not selling but giving. To be honest I realise now and not just from the report, that the true “magic button” is in the learning of the skills. My magic button may short circuit down the road, will i have the skills to repair it or start again. If i have’nt bothered to learn the trade then i won’t be able to either fix, create or expand fully for the future. It reminds me of a story.
A guys boat breaks down, he tries but can’t fix it. Mechanic turns up taps the motor and replaces a screw. The engine starts. The bill comes to $101 dollars and the guy says “what, your kidding, you been here for 2 minutes, explain your price. Mechanic says ” $1 for bolt $100 for the knowledge on which one to change”
As the report points out “the magic button” is in learning your business from the core up.
Boy!! learn how to give stuff away and properly manage your business, that would be heaven.
If thats not enough reason to be my mentor, then i can add, that my missus could make you a cup of coffee and toast while you mentor me, since i now realise that after reading the report you live only 14 miles away from my home town of Newport lol. Small world

I know without a shadow of a doubt anyone who follows you will end up more successful than they ever dreamed possible.I plan on being one of those people. At this moment I don’t have a clue. After all the launches and guru hype that has been clogging up my mailbox over the years I am more confused and disgusted than ever. Alex, thanks for this great ebook. Like many others I have most of the mistakes you point out in your report. I spent money on magic buttons, potions, kits, snake oil… I failed miserably while trying to build a business. Even now, after almost two years online I’m far away from the income expectations I had when I started.
Why should you pick me? Well, here are three good reasons: 1)I’m coachable; 2) I’ve got enough spare time to work online a minimum of 25 hours a week; 3) I need to make a living online because the doors to offline jobs are definitely closed to me due to my age.

I’ve followed your progress since signing up for Post Launch Profits almost 12 months ago. As a fellow Welshman I am impressed with the success you have had and the way you have achieved it.
I started the path to make money online nearly 3 years ago and have only really had success selling a few copies of a great ecover affilliate product called Quick 3D Cover, but now have a list of just over 250 people that I don’t know what to do with. This is an area I could do with a bit of help with.
I am in the process of putting together a new product which should help people with a certain aspect of Internet Marketing that I had planned to sell. But now, I will take the U-Turn and turn up my pace to get it finished then give it away!
I would love your help in getting this product ready and launching it to those who need it. I suspect I should really do everything I possibly can to make sure the product is launched quickly bearing in mind the fact that my wife is rather pregnant and due to give birth to our 3rd child in just a couple of weeks’ time !!!

Congrats to you for your perseverance, accomplishments and for the creation of “The Guru’s Dream Report”. Quite an eye opener. Eighty four pages – once I started, I couldn’t stop till I finished in one sitting. You hit the nail on the head. And described me to a tee as that piece of driftwood floating from wave to wave with no plan or system in place. I’ve never made a cent on the web because I’ve never felt confident enough to choose a method to try – because there’s so many gurus saying “do this” or “do that”…and by the way, send me $97 first or $49.95 or whatever the price is. I guess you call it “paralysis of analysis”. Everyone seems to have “the” answer, but your report crystalized in my mind what’s really happening behind the scenes. After 10 months of searching the web for a person and approach I can trust, what I’ve now learned is like a breath of fresh air. “Failing Forward” is not something to fear….So for that, thank you very much and I can’t wait to start the journey to online success with your help.

I think with the advice inside your Report I believe my goals will becomes reality. I would like to help the very poor people in the mountainous areas in Northern Philippines (Cordilleras) to build a hospital for humans which can not see a doctor their whole life. Specially I want to use also some money to arrange medical missions in these areas to real helping these people.

I get so much junk in my email these days it’s hard to keep up but since your first report your name is one very few I always look out for and that is for all the reasons you give in this report. Your honest reports do lack something though and I think it must be the um..BS that most other reports contain that yours lacks so well done once again and I hope that I will be able to get up to your standards once I get my plan sorted out. I have just lost my whole mailing list for three different niche markets so have to start from scratch, all thanks to an error I was not told about from the payment company that was paying my autoresponder. Unfortunatly I never kept a journal like you so that is something I will have to do from now on. Hell I would love your personal help to find the right path to the same sort of success that you have.

As a 67 year old semi retired truck driver, who is married to a lovely lady from the Ukraine, and who has spent the past 3 years working on an Internet Business to try and recoup some money I lost -
Well, I feel that I have most of the pieces of the puzzle – I just do not seem to be able to fit them all together to create a good end result.

I have been trying to get a successful online business up and running since June of 2005, which is when I started with an herbal MLM. I did everything my mentors told me to do, (including spending about $80,000.00 on advertising). I used my credit cards until they were maxed out and then took a second mortgage out on my home to pay off the credit cards so that I could continue to follow my “mentors” advice. You may say this was stupid, and in hindsight I would agree. I was chasing a dream of financial freedom. For time to spend with my family, our grown children and our then only grandaughter and to get my husband of 30 years out of our Locksmith Business, because after spending 35 years carrying a 70 pound toolbox he has developed a severe back problem and will eventually need surgery, and also, so that we could have a better quality of life. However, I feel I was sold a bill of goods and instead of “financial freedom” we were quickly “drowning in debt”.
I left that MLM in February of 2007, after almost 2 years of doing everything my mentors told me to do, including work like a dog until the wee hours of the morning and all holidays, (all this was after working a 12 hour day at our locksmith business) and not making any money. We had to file for bankruptcy last month, after a year of trying to work with a debt relief company, because I just couldn’t keep up with the payments on the credit cards, which has been most humiliating, because up til now we have always paid our bills on time and never asked for handouts. However, it has been a learning experience for my husband and I, and I feel, like you said in your Guru’s Dream, you must learn from your mistakes and redirect your efforts, and so I have.
I started looking into Internet Marketing in March of 2008. I have been studying and reading everything I can get my hands on, mostly for free, because right now as you can guess money is a little tight, and what I am seeing is that Social Networking is a most important part of todays Internet Marketing program.
Do to my experience with the MLM company, I do not feel comfortable trying to “BS Sell” the “next best thing” to people like me who want a better way of life. Which is what I feel alot of these affiliate programs are doing. Like the MLM company, they are selling me a dream that will never come true.
Like you, I am starting this venture with no money, but, because I am part owner with my husband, of a brick and mortar business, I know that I cannot expect to make money online immediately. Building a business does not work that way.
I’m not sure how I’m going to do it, but my goal is to have an Internet Business up and running and making enough money for my husband to quit his J O B locksmith business by next summer. I hope that you will consider me for one of your 3 lucky readers / followers to receive your mentoring, because I think that with your help and guidance I would be able to reach my goals. And I promise you I would be a most willing and astute student.

Got the report through yesterday morning, read it, then read it again last night.
What’s more, I just got up at 3.30am this morning and read it again.
Pretty logical stuff and makes sense of where the internet is going and what the new community is looking for.
I got a copy of Post Launch Profits about 10 months ago but could never get my mindset right to do anything with it. Now I find myself sitting here 10 months later with a couple of dozen projects, both online and offline, but all going nowhere.
I’ve made a conscious decision to ditch all the “Work in Progress” around me and start again.
And WOW what a place to start!

Reading your report made me feel fantastisc. Finally someone (You) confirmed me into stepping out of the Carbon copy Marketers path. I’ ve always felt bad in just copying what a “big guru” told me to do. I don’t work less than 10-12 hours a day in my online business. I took me almost a year to realize that a lot of work is indeed needed unless you have the money to outsource the routine task. Thats exactly what I am working towards – enough money to outsource and keep my focus on creating new business ideas, instead of spending tons of hours creating everything my self.
I’ll be reading your report many times – eventhough I already get it – I believe that sometimes it is like balm to your overworked brain to be confirmed in what you are doing IS the RIGHT thing. So Your report will be my affirmation guide.

Hi, Alex! Amazing Book! I’m going through it a second time.
I think You should choose me as one of the lucky 3 new students because the book You just wrotte really resonated with me, with my values. I want the financial freedom and the money online but I want it in an ethical way. Also, this book comes to confirm what I had realised going through Schefren’s Books and the 26 hour Q&A, that, up until 1 month ago, I was just an opportunity seeker even though I was studying Internet Marketing a lot everyday which resulted in spending all of my savings money. So once I realised this I started to take action on what I had bought and following advice but it’s all really slow since I don’t have any business skills as You talk about in You book so as a result no ROI yet!
So to make it clear: I don’t have any business or technical skills and I have shortage of money. However, I feel like I’m starting to develop some I.M. knowledge, I have great will power provided I have clear information on what to do so I’ll definitely follow Your lead in case You pick me. Also, I strongly believe in the ideas You exposed in Your Book so I would make a good “messenger”.

“The Gurus Dream Report” is the absolutely the best report I’ve read (and I’ve read many in the past year+)! I have learned so much in the past 14 months, but it never really occurred to me until I read your report that the things I’ve learned and even the tons of mistakes I’ve made, could be of help to others. I have a blog that I’ve been working on for quite a while now. The purpose of my blog is to provide information and ideas about free and low cost home business opportunities, advertising, marketing, etc… I really want to help others to make money online because I know how badly the “mortgage mess” has affected my sitiuation and how it has caused such an unbelievably high amount of people to become suddenly unemployed. I have tried many ways to make money online and of course wasted a lot of time and money in the process. I am overloaded with information (just like many others are)! I have been trying to build my business for almost a year now, but I feel I am going in too many different directions. I have made a very minimal amount of money online, nothing substantial or on-going. The times I have received guidance I was told that making $2-3,000 was easy. Needless to say that statement did not help me much.
My current situation is not good, I am just going to be honest and straight-forward about it, since “it is what it is”. I am a “single grandparent” and have had custody of my 2 1/2 year old grandson since he was 1 year old. I was a mortgage loan processor for over 8 years and made a decent living, but I have been unemployed for 14 months now. I was considered a sub-contractor so I was unable to collect unemployment. At this point I am behind on everything and things are getting very scary. I work on my business every night until at least 3:30am., while my grandson is sleeping. I am very serious about wanting to succeed with my business. I want to be able to spend quality time with my grandson while he is little, and I want to be able to provide for him. I am the only person he has to count on – his father passed away when he was 2 months old and he very rarely sees his mother (my daughter) due to a serious drug addiction.
I am hoping that you choose me as one of the 3 people you will take step by step to success by Christmas. I am very dedicated to making my business a success and to helping others succeed. I am in great need of a mentor who is honest and sincere, which you seem to be. In my experience that has been very hard to find. Taking me step by step to success would be the most awesome experience for me, and would help me more than you can imagine.

Just wanted to say thanks for writing the superb Gurus Dream Report. I think I’ve said this efore, but your total honesty, and the fact that you genuinely seem to care about the success of thers put you in the category of a ‘new breed’ on internet marketers. I actually made it to some of the Internet Business Building Seminar a few weeks ago, and watched the rest live over the web. I still can’t believe that that was your first speaking gig because you didn’t seem nervous at all. Anyway, what surprises me most
of all since reading the report, is your consistency. This report echoed a lot of what you said on that stage and consistency itself is totally refreshing in marketing generally. You’re also always honest enough to highlight some of your personal mistakes, mistakes within the industry, learn from them, and then go on to have some great realisations about what is really important! Like Gandhi said, you’re being the change you want to see in the world!
Another great thing about the report was that I could really resonate with stuff you said about fads. Like 99.9% of people trying to make money online I’ve bought loads of ‘the next big thing’ products but what I’ve often wondered is what it’s all leading to. In fact the other day I was trying to explain to someone about my ambition to make money online describing affiliate marketing etc and I suddenly thought to myself….’is that what I’m going to do? just promote this product, and then this product, and then this product? But how am I actually going to make a difference to people lives?
This report has given me some serious food for thought as well as inspiring me to take action to think about my goals and even start writing out a basic plan.
Yes, Yes, Yes!!!!! I’d love for you to mentor me to success. Over the last few weeks I’ve come to really understand what I need to do to realise my
ambition of generating an income online. A few days ago, I watched the online replay of all the speakers at the Internet Business Building Seminar(by the way thanks for the email!). As I was watching I was taking notes and I suddenly stopped and wrote down
‘Alison, you already know enough to succeed online’. This felt great because a couple of months ago I didn’t feel confident enough to say this. I’ve been trying to get online for years and as well as not having the right mindset to take action, I also thought that marketing online couldn’t be that easy. Now I have total belief in myself and belief that all I need to do is to focus, get a system in place, and work that system, with the advice and support of a sincere mentor.
Internet Marketing to me means the ability to be my own boss which to me is an all consuming
burning desire. I get to work at times that suit me (around my kids), work predominantly from home (wherever in the world I choose), and work very
part time but with a full time income. A passive income will also allow me the opportunity to travel when and where I want, and plenty of time to relax.
I am an eternal student and would love to learn more about product creation, outsourcing, JVs and systems for membership sites.
My goals for the next twelve months are to create products in both the IM and personal development niches, to start a membership site, and to be
generating an absolute minimum of £2000 per month personal income online.
I’m now off to listen to Post Launch Profit Secrets since I haven’t had the chance to yet.

I’m just sitting here in my orifice, er, I mean office, trying to figure out how to thank you for your report, and explain why I DON’T want you to build my business for me…..
I guess it boils down to a combination of ego and control: I want the satisfaction of knowing I did this myself, and that I have total control over the shape and nature of my business. I WOULD, HOWEVER, KILL TO HAVE YOU IN MY COURT AS A MENTOR – Heck, I’d even pay for the advantage of access to your knowledge and experience, not to mention your enthusiasm; that is, if I had the money for that sort of thing!! Unfortunately, my success to date (or lack thereof) prevents me from being able to do so….As a result, I can only cling to the possibility that you include me in your mentoring program, and I sincerely hope you do.
I’ve been slowly coming to realize that it’s not the specific techniques that matter (what most of the gurus are selling), but the overall business plan and strategy as well as how disciplined you are about implementing it. As a result, over the past few months I’ve been coming up with a ‘mental map’ of my business system/plan/architecture for affiliate marketing (I’m in the process of putting down on paper, and coming up with a plan for implementing and maintaining it). The piece that is missing is the feedback from someone such as yourself – someone who has firsthand experience with what works and what doesn’t. As you know, this ‘little’ piece of the puzzle, could easily be the difference between success and failure, or at least, between a short/fast road to success and the long and painful one. With a two year-old at home and another due in May, the time is NOW for me to get past the distractions, past the analysis paralysis and start taking confident steps in implementing a solid plan!
I truly believe I’m ‘this close’ to getting this right, and with your guidance and feedback, I know I can find great success in short order! I’m a very involved and hands-on father and I’d LOVE to be in a position in May to be at home with my family fulltime (though I may regret that for the first few months with two little ones in the house
. Hence why your report and offer was INCREDIBLY TIMELY for me! Not only did it confirm what I was coming to suspect myself (plus a whole pile more), but the possibility of finding a mentor to shorten and highlight the path to success means there’s a real chance for me and my family to reach our goals sooner than later. I’m truly thankful and excited about the possibilities and hope you will choose me for your mentoring program!!!!
That said, I’ve rambled on enough, and I see that you have a TON of posts to review, so I’ll stop here to thank you once more and let you get on with your own task of reading and evaluating all these posts.

I have just found your report among 1185 emails I have to catch up on as my computer had a gremlin in it. As I haven’t had a chance to read it yet, I have scanned it and noticed your competition. I have just been reading some of the blog comments above and I am in a similar situation to most of these people, looking after grandchildren after being a single Mum for years already, having severe financial problems, staying up late trying to find answers to all the problems and learn a whole new way of doing things with limited time and not knowing who is sincere and who to believe.
I’ve probably found this report too late to enter your competition (I don’t know the time differences), which is such a shame as I sincerely need help too, as do the others. It is rare that someone wants to help at no cost and be so giving. If I’m too late to enter I’m wondering if there is a way you could open this training up somehow to be accessible to those that miss out on this opportunity and have very little funding.
I too would like to experience having a life and not just existing, and be able to help others as well because I believe the more of us that give back, the better our world.
I’m now going to make a cup of tea and read your report and hope I can find a way in it to start putting it all together and start making money.

Hello Alex,
I am not sure what to say. I have read you report twice since I downloaded it, and had no intentions of joining the competition to possibly be on of the chosen three. Why? Because after reading your report for the second time, I was overwhelmed. Not only did it all ring true, and make sense, it made me angry. I open my e mail every day to find countless messages in my inbox, most from people I do not know, all containing some form of sales pages.
To read wherein so many people believe that these sales pages will make money because everyone wants hype really made me mad. I am so tired of “get it for the low price of…” that I delete them even before I reach the amount. I do not need anymore hype.
I need help. After months of attempting to break out of village idiot to the upwardly mobile status of newbie, I too have made those ridiculous purchases. After making these purchases, I have decided enough in enough. I will purchase no more unless I have learned that I can trust them.
Say no to the hype, and yes to anyone who wants to help you, without hurting you or your bank account in the process.
I apologize for the long winded nature, and look forward to hearing about new products from you.

After several products I got the drift…nothing like a stiff dose of reality to knock some sense into you. I knew I was spinning my wheels…the foundational elements were missing. Loved your eBook, it was so refreshing to find someone prepared to give an honest opinion about the current state of the IM industry.
It confirmed many of my suspicions.
I have been trying to get started in this industry since January this year. I have bought into this and that, signed up with these so called Guru’s for mentoring only to get bombarded with emails trying to sell me something else.
AND, to-date I havn’t earned a penny.
Reading your eBook really does make so much sense and clearly illustrates a methodical approach to building a business.

Just completed reading your report(due to dyslexia) and noticed the compotition. As always I appear to be last but I usually do arrive eventually.
Jumping in a taxi will get me where I want to go so if you pick me up I will jump in.
I have been on a learning curve for a long time and think it’s about time I put it ie the stuff I have picked up into action. The missing ingredient for me I believe is someone to kick me up the backside and to keep me on course.

Great Report…hope I’m not to late for the November 7th cutoff…you’d be a kick to work with.
Let me introduce myself as I haven’t posted here before….I’m an old fart, but one that’s been around the block.
I was a stockbroker for 10 years then was a Corporate Marketing Manager for 6…until 1995.
That was the first time I saw the internet, and when I saw it I immediately grasped the future of it…I quit my job and started my first internet marketing company in 1995..a company called Vision Quest Internet Marketing Group.
I won a ton of awards for design, had several cools sites of the day…blah blah….big deal.
I was involved with automation as early as 1996 with autoresponders…and built one of the first Free autoresonder sites online, sendfree.com, for my clients.
I was a Netscape freak, Jim Barksdale was a visionary and an early hero, those are the kinds of guys I learned the internet from, then along came Bill Gates, the greedy one, and beginning in the late ninety’s the web became hell with the browser wars….I’m sure not many of the guys on this board even know what the hell I’m talking about.
I sold my company in 2000 for a variety of reasons. The internet was growing rapidly but was stagnant as technology was lagging…there was a hell of a lot of fiber optics to lay before it could get to where I foresaw it going, so I sold, went underground and watched….and waited….and now the time is here and I’m back.
I’m just finishing up my first site, http://pawprintssoftware.com. You can go look at it, but don’t touch anything yet…won’t be hooked up until Sunday, then feel free. From there I will be moving into mass promotion…traffic geyser, traffic kahuna, etc.
The internet has finally matured, and video is the wave as I see it, television has arrived in internet land and it’s going to be changing rapidly. As far as working with you, I would consider it a kick…you’re absolutely right about the guru’s…some of the crap they do is outrageous…everyone deserves to make jingle but they are to the point of taking advantage of people and feeding the same crap as they pass people from one guru to another.
Ditto, on the affiliate wars….that is exactly as I see it too…if fact, one of my first products will be addressing that situation….it is KILLER, will be up by Sunday.
I have been involved in tech for almost 18 years now…in one form or another and I am a hardworking SOB. I am setting a goal for myself to earn a million bucks this year come hell or high water, and have some kick ass ideas for product development.
Anyway, would enjoy working with you, if you can put up with an old man that will drive you as hard as you try to drive me.

Honestly speaking, it took me 4 hours at stretch in reading and grasping Gurus Dream. Alex has beautifully summed up everything in his 84 page report. For example plans, goals,system, business model, research, helping, social media, blog, traffic, everything. I don’t think he has left anything.
If the free information contains so much nuggets and insider information, you can imagine how valuable priced product would be.
By now I have understood that learning insider knowledge of intenet marketing really needs spending on mentoring, education and working hard on it, there is no magic button to success as the hype monsters claim in their sales letters.
I pray his 7 figure dream come true quick, while I chase my 3 figure yet!

that is about the only word i can find for that report. i am on all the “gurus” lists, and have been trying to build my online business for about a year now. and i have had zero success. i have spent thousands and made zero, because i was truley looking for the magic key. but the more and more i read and looked through all the emails and stuff i was trying to be sold. i had that same feelimg that all they wanted was my money. it was heart breaking. i work in construction myself and i have 4 kids. my body is wearing down and i really want to build an online business that frees up my time for my family and allows me to give this old body a rest. but noone(until you that is) wanted to teach me a system, all they wanted was me to by their next big launch. i have been on your list for a while now and have taken the time to get to know you. i feel like you are the person that i can learn from, that you care more about my success, and my business than just my money. thank you for this information. and some how some way i want to learn everything that is in your head. you approach to internet business is amazing and that is what i want to know, how to help not just take. thank you so much.

Nicely done! Just caught your report this evening from on of Justin Brooke’s emails, and couldn’t stop reading until I got to “Learn From The Mistakes Of Others.” By the time I got down there, I have already planned to start a brand new blog on my name domain that I had going a while back. It got hacked or something, so I tore it down – put a basic few posts up and left it.
Now, I’m going to go back with a PLAN – and follow along, because I have ALREADY pretty much seen, done, and “changed” my mind yet again. Heh. Failing fast tends to do that to a person.
I don’t like email. I don’t like having a base of subscribers over 4k – and I don’t like sending emails. Why?
Because I don’t think I’ve created the right relationships with many of the people on my “lists” – but on the other hand – I DO have some of the “most awesome customers” in there mixed in with the others!
Recently, I have seriously considered starting ONE NEW BASE – scrapping the rest, and telling my best customers exactly what I’m doing – so they have a choice to either “do nothing” or stick around for the ride.
Honestly, I like your report quite a bit. Personally, I’ve always hated using any kind of HYPE on any of my products, although I will occasionally get excited about a certain product – which will show in the copy. Other times I don’t write ANY hype (or excitement) and the tests are sadly correct on that note – considering the number of sales each different page will actually pull.
I’m all in for a change, that’s for sure – and have begun concentrating on blogs lately. Many ways to create residual income from blogs for one. Two, I think it’s nice that people can subscribe to a feed and read things when they feel like it. Instead of constantly playing email hell.
With that said, I’ll be keeping and eye on you and following along! I’m also going back to read the rest of the report – and will be changing my blog – and may even skip off to read your other reports. I’ve also taken a liking to Rich Schefren recently too – so you kind of just fit right in!

Overall a very good report. A bit long on the
goo-roos. Finally the secrets revealed….
Why does no one ever mention that Rich was wealthy before he got online and SP taught him. Mike made 200k yr in the car biz. It doesn’t seem to me that they had the same challenges many others face. How does one do it when they are already -$. No 5k seminars for me, or getting pissed with the gurrus at gurufest.
You do seem interested in helping the sheepeople and that’s cool.

Alex, what an astounding report! My eyes are glued with your report until i finished reading it. I haven’t noticed that it’s already past midnight here in my place. This made me realize that I am not really building a business and that I am only after that fast cash that gives temporary cash flow. I planned to read the report one more time this coming days to get the picture and start rebuilding and making good relationship with other people..
I know the competition is over but I just wanted to say that I absolutely loved the report, it really hit home and struck a chord with me. I have been trying to make a living online for so long now and I have only been able to bring in some mere scraps, trying to be a “carbon copy marketer”. That was a great report. I hate that I’m just now seeing it for the first time (Nov. 8th, 2008.) I’m 22 years old right now and i’ve personally been studying business closely since I was 17. I currently have a Computer Consulting Business and a Marketing Business in which both are successful. I’m incredibly encouraged by your report. Also having mentors along the way, it’s been drilled into my head that the goal should be help people, not make money. The money comes as soon as people are helped. Having a selfish business will burn at best. Awesome words, I’m starting an online marketing business of my own, and i’d love to tap into your brain some more and possibly one day, seek out a mentorship, or a joint venture with you.

First Alex let me tell you a little about myself and why I have come to the Internet as a means of achieving my goals. I’m a month shy of being 61 years old and due to recent circumstances in my life I’m unemployed. It was about eight months ago that I went to the Internet chasing one business opportunity after another thinking this was the one. What I have learned after running up my credit cards to the tune of thousands of dollars is that you must have a system and a mentor (Guru) that you can trust who will help you develop your business so that you are able to stand alone and move forward.

I’m going to try to keep this simple. You have soothed the nerves of many out there, I just know it. I personally am thanking you ahead of time for taking your u-turn to come back for us broke-downs who’ve stalled on the side of the road. You are doing, right now, what I would have done, also, had I started two years ago, and gone down the same path. It’s because you are what I (and others, I’m sure) have been waiting for but never gave up hope for. Do not budge off the road for anyone. You are on the right path, no matter how many bullies put themselves in your way.
If it weren’t for guys like you, THEY might not be here, ’cause someone had to help THEM. Unless they are the ones who, you know, have access to all the time and money needed to spend a lifetime, if they wish, building (or inheriting) an oil rig, allowing them to stay rich forever. Then there’s the (95%) rest of us. Thank you for being there for us.
I now have no reservations that what I have been trying to do can be done, because I feel like I have a friend in you, already, by your acts. Soon, I hope to be able to announce to the world, in a testament to you, that after many years of living and holding money close and scouting the internet for real opportunities, that you were the one who helped me get myself and my children off and running, out of subsidized housing, and to a better place where we can help others as you have helped us. (I intend to help other single moms and dads, right here, where I live, to start.)

Alex, I haven’t read your report yet but if it is everything others are stating in their testimonials, then I would invest my time, money & knowledge investing in someone who has walked the path. I’m more interested though in creating recurring income streams that can be injected into online charities, not just for 2008, but in a sustainable life long term event which would last for many years. This is my master plan for the remaining years I might have left, and I would hope that it is possible to achieve. Many Thanks for your time & consideration towards helping us accomplish our goals. I have just finished reading your book and It proves to me what I have been thinking for quite some time now, and that is that all the Fads that are sold to you are just that, they are fads that will just keep changing, some of them are good value but never getting anywhere near the truth.
As you say the truth is all about the “Business” and they don’t give you the Business.
They don’t go about explaining what it means to be an Internet Marketer.
Marketer as in Salesman.
And yes you have to start off on the right track.
Start off the way you mean to carry on.
And as Dean has done start off by keeping a Diary of his progress and accomplishments.
I have visited Dean’s (deanholland.com) blog and read your ebook, seen what he has to say and have been inspired enough to do a bit of a Uturn myself and am going to start my own blog in the same manner.
And yes you should be looking to give before you take!!

I’ve been so impressed with your products and your openness that I have paid my money to have you coach and mentor me.
I don’t have a doubt one that this will be the best investment I have ever made in myself and my future.
I have been hurt and highly offended in the past when people tell me I’m too honest for my own good. I don’t understand their logic or thinking and quite honestly I don’t want to try.
The say likes repel, but as far as I’m concerned that a whole lot of BS, because mate you’ve definitely attracted me as an avid follower. I know you are going to take me places I could only but dream of in the past.
I don’t have a dream of being a Guru, but I know I’m being mentored by a future one!

I read this book a few weeks back and its very interesting indeed. The prob online is that there is too much hype and alex talks about how too many people fall into the (hype) trap and how it effects you.
Im currently a student of alex jeffreys and ive been using some of his traffic methods over the last few days to help get my blog more exposure.

Alex, you are a ray of light on the otherwise dark internet marketing horizon.
I’ve been stumbling around trying to figure out how to get started earning an income on line now for about 16 months. I’ve spent well over $10,000 on “training” and I’ve been good, mostly been doing what I’ve been told to do… I even launched a niche website back in Nov of 2007 which to date had earned me a whopping $161.55.
Dude, you are soooo right about the current state of IM. It’s pretty obvious that the ones making the most money online are the shovel salesmen, not the gold miners.
It’s funny how you attract the people to your life just at the time you need them most. I had an idea recently, and was just setting up a blog to tell who ever would listen, everything I’ve learned so far about internet marketing just to see what would happen. You know, for free. Then somehow I came across your blog…
I too am so sick of the ridiculous claims of untold internet riches at the push of a button while sucking on margaritas on some tropical island. Even though I knew they were all exaggerating with their pitches, I at least thought there would be some value in there. Sometimes there was, mostly not so much.
I with you bro. It’s time to change the world and start helping each other become successful instead of preying on the vulnerable to line our wallets. That said, now I’m going to go refund every penny of the $161.55 I’ve made on line so far and start fresh. To balance the karma thing. Just sayin…

Great information. You’ve made my desire stronger and I know it will happen for me..not if it happens. I joined two mlm’s with no success and created my own website promoting affiliate products. I have all my notes, time and listening skills on my side. I take action and will continue to the finish line. I have no other choices b/c I must stay home and take care of my 5yr old who is in treatment for leukemia (cancer). I must succeed for myself and for him. He is my life and I will not drown in depression b/c he needs me to be strong and I will succeed. I have the mindset, desire and nothing else stopping me. I will push until success comes, you see life is short and I hear to make the most of life, not just earn money to pay hospital bills. I want to share my knowledge like you do for free so people don’t have to go through what I’ve gone through. Its now a personal goal and I will find it hard to make money b/c I want to give it away for free, but in time, the money will come.
