I just wanted to say thanks for sending me an advance copy of the ‘Guru’s Dream’ report.
This truly was an AMAZING report and I really want to thank you for not only taking the time, but having the guts to put something like this together.
I am always looking for great content to share with my readers and subscribers and this is definitely something that I think is going to help A LOT of people.
I have always been impressed by the content you produce, but in my opinion this is definitely your best work yet.
In fact, this is one of the best reports I have ever read about Internet marketing. This should almost be required reading for anyone who is serious about building their own online business.
It is sad that so many people seem to be looking for a magic button that will provide them with instant wealth, but hopefully after reading your report they will realize that it doesn’t exist and it is time to start building a business.
One of the best tips in your report was recommending that people get a mentor since it will save someone years of trial and error. I’ve been fortunate enough to be mentored by some really great Internet marketers and I know it has been a really smart investment for me.
Another tip you shared that I think was extremely valuable was when you wrote: “the best way to make money is to give stuff away for free, to build a mailing list and leverage the fact that you are the leader to these people”.
Although it sounds simple, I think that is an excellent recommendation for anyone who is not pleased with their current results.

I had heard you had a rep for not holding anything back, and I hate all the hype and crap that surrounds internet marketing, but I’m impressed with this report.

I just got done reading The Gurus Dream, I cannot seem to find the words to describe the way it made me feel.
I have been working at building a business online for close to 2 years now, and always felt like the “Big One” was right around the corner. I have felt frustrated, overwhelmed, and angry for not being able to take the step of NOT working for anybody else. I have had many ideas of products that have the potential to be great. Some maybe not so great, only to waste time and just think about them and see someone else go ahead and create the same type of product.
Over the past couple of months, I came to realize, that taking action to fulfill my dreams can only be done by me. Now it may not be everyones cup of tea to say this, But I have always felt that to get ahead in life in what ever you do, you must forge your own path. You need to stand out from everyone else. I, like many thousands of people out there, am subscribed to many lists, how many do I actually open and read? probably only a a dozen at the most.
I would like to share a quote with you from my late uncle who recently passed away, he was a jack of all trades, and when I was younger he was teaching me to oil paint, at the time I was getting very frustrated because I was not getting down on canvas what I was perceiving in my mind.
” Don’t give up in whatever you do, because the minute you give up, you will never be able to take back those words, ‘I give up’ it plants a seed that can grow and lie dormant, and spring back to bite you in your ass.
If you feel that you are not doing well step back and look at what you have done. Take a break and do something else, because in time you will figure out what went wrong, you can always repaint your canvas and start over, but the minute you throw your canvas away, it is gone forever”

I was unable to visit him before he passed away as much as I wanted to, but financially I was unable to, especially having 2 new baby boys at home. The money just wasn’t there. I do not want that to happen again, I want to be able to see my family when I want whether they live 5 miles down the road or they live 2000 miles away.
There is a need for people like you that are not afraid to push the boundaries, there is a need for people to wake up and stop being sheep.
I have always felt that being different and standing on your own two feet is the most empowering feeling that you can ever feel.
It doesn’t matter who you are, where you come from, or what style of clothes you wear, when you can look in the mirror and say that you truly are being the best you at who you are then you can and will succeed.

You know what Alex, I’d love for you to “take me by the hand” I’ve been a top procrastinator with my online business for some time now (since about Baltimore I think!! lol) and having witnessed your rise from, as you call it, puppy to big dog marketer, I’d like to emulate it. I’ve had it with sitting on the sidelines and feel I have a great deal to offer the online audience. I like your no nonsense approach and am willing to implement everything you recommend. I’m not afraid of hard work, can take criticism and promise not to waste your time.

I’m not sure if people will really want to read your lastest offering.
Yeah, you read that correctly…
I say that because I’m not sure how they’ll take it after being fed all the lies, one after the other for what seems like a lifetime. I call it the magic pill, you call it the gurus dream…and that’s exactly what it is. Gurus are in the business of selling ‘dreams’ - and that’s exactly what people want to buy into…the ‘hope’ and the ‘dream’.
But once you get into buying these ‘dreams’, it’s hard to get out. It’s like a
sick continual loop that keep on going around and around with you getting
poorer each day.
The problem is people don’t want to work hard and build foundations and a
solid business, they want overnight riches…but in reality, you found out that
it just doesn’t work like that.
This is why your product was awesome. It hit the nail right on the head…it
brings the reader into the real world.
Before people discover the truth in your product, tell them to first hit themselves
in the face with a frozen fish… then expose them to the truth…it’ll hurt more
than the fish!
I’m know for certain the guru’s will be want to have your knee caps broken for
revealing what you do, but someone needs to stand up and be a light when there
is total darkness and restlessness in the IM world.

Hey Alex, Alex here. Just got through your report and you are dead on.
Its no wonder why so many people become victims instead of success stories. In fact, as I was pondering my own business, I was disappointed at the fact that the “Pre-U-Turn” type of marketing only puts people deeper in the hole instead of giving them hope and a better income than many are desperate for!
You poured yourself out in the report and I thank you for that!
I believe people are looking for the right way to start an online business only to be shell shocked by all the offers and “dreams” out there. They quickly forget that they are in the marketing business and that means people are in it to market and sell products. Worse of all, this has become the norm.
Thanks for shedding some light and I pray that your report gets in the hands of thousands, if not millions of people who still have hope in a successful business online even after being thrown in a den of lions.
Regarding the competition, I believe that I am the best choice to win because I have a heart and concience and truly want to make a difference in people’s lives. I believe in giver’s gain and that you have to lead with a giving hand.
These may be some good catch phrases, but the truth is people need real direction from someone who really knows the pain they are experiencing. I have been struggling to start a business online searching for the dream. I quit my job to give in to the dream. I had to sell my cars to pay the bill for chasing the dream. I am nearing foreclosure trying to make the “dream” work.
However, I know that its possible and every day that I wake up, my only goal is to serve someone with my experience, knowledge, and God given abilities. My success is closer than I can imagine and with a little push from someone as commited to adding value like you Alex, I know I can get there far sooner.

There’s no doubt in my mind that the phrase you used several times on stage is the key one: ‘This is business’. Treat online marketing as a part-time hobby and you’ll get results to match.
Earn the right to live the ‘dream lifestyle’ and you might get to live it.
Like you, I’ve read ‘The Four-Hour Work Week’, by Tim Ferris several times, including twice on holiday. The key isn’t to be lazy it’s to be effective. Most of us are still struggling with that!

I just finished reading your report and can’t tell you how much it “hit me in the face.” I’ve been trying to make money online now for almost 2 years, to no avail.
Initially I paid thousands of dollars to a guru’s coaching program … unfortunately I got a coach that was just biding time and left in the middle of my coaching period. I was assigned a new coach but I was so far in the wrong direction, it was like throwing money down the drain! And believe me, I don’t have it to throw away! I’ve been looking for that “magic bullet” and buying product after product … some good, some bad, but none making me any money. What a fool I’ve been!
Your report really stimulated me toward making a business plan and to stop throwing good money after bad. I’ve been without a paycheck for many months now and am determined to find my internet court and play in it! Having your guidance as one of the three you select would be an amazing blessing.

Awesome information in Guru’s Dream…and yes, it’s what NEEDED to be said. I’ve been on a payment plan for the guru’s dream for almost two years. Thankfully my writing has kept me afloat, but as you can imagine, it’s not passive income.
I know there will be many competing to be one of the three you choose, and it’s MY dream to be one of them.
There’s enough money changing hands online everyday that everyone could make enough to ease their life, if not change its course forever. I strive for complete financial freedom to give me the credibility I need to help others gain theirs.
You won’t find another student more willing than me to take instructions and act on them…to plan my work and then work my plan. I’m driven and motivated by the same fiery passion I see in you every video you make…and whether you choose me or not (although of course I hope you will!)I am so fiercely determined to carve out my slice of the internet pie that I WILL succeed.

Well you’ve done it again and spoken from the heart. You’ve put into words what many disillusioned people have been thinking for a long time and your report should give hope and encouragement to the masses.
It was very cleverly written though. You said just enough to get your “guru” message across without being offensive.
Why do I want to be one of your success stories before Christmas? Well, to prove it’s not just young internet savvy males who can do it. Most women have an unfair disadvantage as not only do we have to work, but usually we have to run a home, cook the meals and look after the children/family as well, so fitting in those extra hours to wade through all the information (and misinformation) available on the internet on how to “make it” is really difficult. It’s even more difficult if you haven’t been raised in a world of technology and find the phrases used by marketers like speaking a foreign language!
Last week I sat in the doctors waiting room and the lady next to me who my age confessed she’d tried to kill herself - twice. She felt she’d nothing to live for. Her children were grown up and no longer needed her and she felt her husband only wanted her to cook and clean. She felt useless with no sense of purpose.
Having given up her career to look after her family, she now found herself redundant. With no hobbies, no sense of purpose and what she felt were no particular skills, she just wanted to end it all.
There are many people like that out there - not all so desperate but certainly at an age where they wonder what’s the point and what opportunities could possibly open up for them, especially when there is such little job security.
I’d like to be a success story in the hope I could convince others of my age, in order to change their lives, they only need to “change” their lives. Surely, if I can do it, anyone can!

I just read Guru’s Dream and I was impressed by the forthright honesty in there regarding the truth about Internet Marketing.
Obviously there is no quick and easy way to make (say) $ 10,000.00 a month without doing any work.
So why should you pick me?
I am highly intelligent, I have excellent skills (including proper use of the English language and extensive computer-related skills), I have the ability and ambition to learn new things, and I even have a Business Plan. However, I keep getting stuck on the details of how to do this and that. I’m so close to getting started, and yet I still seem to be so far away.
I’m keen to start my own Internet-based business, as I am a maverick and I like to do thinga my own way, and thus I have not had much success in the traditional job market. I don’t like to kowtow to someone else’s rules and regulations when I don’t agree with those rules and regulations. I have been job-hunting and trying to start my own business for about 6 months now with a minimum of success, and a lot of roadblocks, obstacles and stumbling blocks.
I’m an INTJ by the Myers-Briggs personality type classification system, and I’m also 50 years old now, so those things all count against me when trying to find a traditional “job”.
I have been almost sucked into signing up for a couple of “mentoring programs” that cost between $ 5000.00 and $ 10,000.00, but luckily managed to back out before getting burned.
I’d be happy to give $ 5000.00 to someone who could actually help show me how to get started and MAKE $ 10,000.00 first! Can you do that?

I got to the part “where do you fit in the food chain?”
Newbie - Advanced - Expert - Guru…..You left my category off, I believe even a Newbie would be insulted at me putting myself in their category after being on line for nearly 6 yrs…and still spinning my wheels.
I got to the bullshit button LOL it looked so familiar, least this time it was obvious….OMG so many times I pushed that button and yep fell for everything that you noted in your report..I just want to SCREAM! If I stop going after the next solution I guess I could have taken my kids on a holiday, something we haven’t been able to do since they were born.
Talk about a wake up call….you have just shown me that I have wasted my life, my kids are growing up fast and Fun has never fit into my schedule…LOOKING for the answers, reading and learning and finding so much contradictory advice out there has lead me round in circles for most of my time online…And Guess What…It’s all my Fault!! God is so hard coming to terms with That!!

I’ve never been so consumed with anything I have read like I was with this report…I just couldn’t stop reading until I reached the end, and in one sitting.
Many things that you said I felt you were talking to me directly, and that is what I’ve enjoyed most about the information you offer.

I enjoyed reading your report Alex as it confirmed what I have been thinking for some time, that ethical marketers like you are not happy with what they have been doing, despite the financial rewards.
I didn’t start out with the idea of making money by selling in the internet marketing niche. In fact, my first website was created with the idea of helping people with a certain problem. It won’t ever make me rich but it fills a need for many people.
I regard myself as an honest person and I would hate it if the only way I could make a living on the internet is by exploiting people and selling them false hope.
I know for sure that there are other genuine people like you in the IM niche but there are also a number of snake-oil salesmen peddling the same old stuff to an ever-increasing hungry crowd.
But the market is maturing and their days are numbered.

The sentence you made: “The system is what makes money, not the product” has been an eye opener for me.
Having a system makes you conscious of all what’s happening all around you, and in that moment you become able to make it better.

Thanks for your download page of The Guru Dream and which I have read with interests because it reflects the life of many internet marketers who begin their journey expecting to make money people but find it is not as easy as been said because one should understand there are many newcommers coming into the market with thousand of products already fielded in the market. As a newbie everything interests you because money can be made but failing to find out that there lot of things to learn about the market the products,traffic and many other things . It is not as easy as mentioned by many gurus because they know what it takes to make earning on the net, people like me follow to buy their products but you find it is difficult to implement of many technical factors because of no proper guidance and eventually you give up. After reading your book which I have special interest because it reveals the daily life of internet struggle of a person and you are nailing direct to the point . This book will be eyeopener to the many who read because it is real story which includes me.
The Question you have put why you should pick me because after reading your book now there is solution for me to learn the right way and teacher to guide me to success.

Great free report. I am a big fan of giving free content first. I have taken notes from a number of guru’s launches. Many give really good useable pre-launch content. I got several great business models from their free stuff.
I loved your oil rig scenario. I ended up with 9 pages of notes and listened to your previous videos again.
I have spent over two years collecting info. The lack of technical skills has been my EXCUSE for not being successful.
I need your help to push me into action, faster.
I am writing a diet journal which I will post each week. I have been on the diet for one month so I know it works.
The first entry is free and they must opt-in to get the continuing story. I am setting up two blogs to accomplish this.
A link to the affiliate ebook will be on each post. My son is on the diet too and will add his results. He will set up his own blog journal and add my story to his for social proof.
People can get the book whenever they feel moved by our success. We will teach them to set up their own blog and add our stories.

As other people have commented, there’s no doubt that giving brings more back. Karma or mathematics, it doesn’t seem to matter. But giving of yourself, rather than just a freebie ebook (or even a pint!) counts for so much more.
Congratulations on stepping up to do that, too. The book is excellent, as you know, but mainly because so much of you went into it. Hopefully, we can all take note and act on that lesson too.
Now, obviously you’ve created quite a stir, and there are some famous names appearing on this thread, as well as those who’d like to take up your offer of help. And even the famous names can use a little help at times.

I built my original site because I live in Mallorca and was struggling to find relevant information about the island do decided to do it myself - just for fun - not profit. The only trouble is everything I seem to try, brings back a big fat zero and after two and a half years of trying to grasp this very illusive formula I am on the verge of throwing in the towel and calling it quits.
I built myself a website which I was proud of as it was all my own input only for it to bomb, so I have made another site now, and have made a squido lens, having done more SEO and keyword research,and back linked it to facebook but it has yet to bring in any results,its the web address I have listed above? if you want to see where I am at right now.

Thank you for your straightforward report. Your words echo so many of us out here who just want to make things work online, without having to slave away at the keyboard and monitor, trading that for the 60-80 hours per week we’ve had in the corporate world, or otherwise. What we do want is the culmination of dreams that allow an online business to be bringing in enough income to live without encumbrances, not going day to day wondering when something else will break down, or when the next downsize or lay off will happen.
Too many of us have also been deluded and deceived by the marketing hypes of “guru” and “non-guru” alike. I do understand that to build an online presence and business does take work, but at some point, things should be working in my favor, so that I am not constantly chasing after leads or partners, or traffic, etc.
I know you speak from your heart, and you are not hyping the latest “guru-bashing” drivel that some feel is their stake in the market arena. I follow several of the “gurus” to learn, both for better and worse!
I work as the sole provider for my lovely wife and our two young sons, who desperately want me home to be with them for more time to do the things we want to do.
I am not looking for an over-abundance of wealth, but to be able to live comfortably, teach others what we know (and have leared as well), so that they can live out their dreams also. I want to give back, in more ways than I am able to at the moment.
I want more time with my sons before they grow too old to want to do anything with their dad, and to lead them in the ways that they can be successful online as well, never to sit around waiting and wondering “what might have been…”
I know you have many, many posts to read through and it will be a difficult decision on your part. I don’t envy you. But I wish you well in your choices, and I pray that you will use keen discernment in your final choices. May whoever you choose act swiftly on all that you provide them to become the successes they deserve to be!

Alex, The book is amazing. I have just recently decided not to buy into any more of the flavor of the week products and am trying to focus on building my business the right way. I have spent to much time doing things that waste time and take away from what I really care about and its good to see that I am not the only one. I believe that having a mentor like you would make all the difference in the world to my family and business and would be very happy to refocus with your help. I have to confess that I was about to delete the email I had received from you about giving away free report for people who are busy with online business. Then before I hit the delete button I said to myself what the heck let me see what it is all about but,I am not going buy anything at this time. And I am glad I change my mind to atleast review your report.
Alex,I feel am not least smart in making good decisions and doing something about it. My story may be similar like other newbies or may be even worse than anybody else.
Your report has atleast convinced me that I am not alone who is struggling in the first attempts to learn all the tricks and tips to make an online business a success.
I have been financially struggling to make ends meet and often became unsuccessful to hold on with a job. Ended up finding job in different industries from office clerical work to retail stores and now in restaurant industry working my butt off doing cashiering and customer service duties.
All that I read in your report about the first time struggle of people building an online business was axactly what I am going thru. I noted one important point that, everytime I went thru my emails in search for information I was lured in by the convincing sales page -‘proof of income…and strong Guarantee’ and believe it or not I have spent my hard earned money buying their products thinking as an investment to sacrifice to build my online business dream.
I have been buying tons of information products since 2005 and build a library of CD’s by downloading what I purchased and often got lost in so many information getting nowhere as of yet. I have noticed that I become obsessed and today am in dept of $10,000.
Honestly, as I was reading the contents of your report, I was laughing so hard till my belly hurt and said to my self I am really stupid making my self financially broke by buying all that information. Ofcourse just couple of them have been a good use in helping me understand the online business.
When I said earlier that I was about to delete your report I meant it because I was so sick and tired of being lured to buy another product when I am totally broke and cannot even afford to buy.
My email account is so flooded with all internet marketers sending me emails with new information daily and I seem to be wasting my valuable time just researching the right key to my investment.
I have literarily given up hope and just kept on deleting all emails that came in. But I have saved emails from Guru’s like Mike filsaime and Rich Schefrem. Infact I created a separate folder to store their incoming emails.
You are absolutely right whatever you have mentioned in your report. Every word is true and valuable. I do need a good mentor such as yourself. I cannot afford another dime in investment as I dont make much from my curret career as a cashier in Restaurant industry.
So guide me the right way to internet success. I will look forward to your emails daily.

An excellent motivational report and, of course, I especially like the idea of having a mentor. I’m in the position where, after many years of trying to make my fortune on the internet, my friends are bored with me telling them I spent the week-end (and every evening) ‘on my internet business’ (with nothing to show for it).
I use one of your methods: giving stuff away for free and I have a very smal list as a result. But none of them want to buy anything I promote and they won’t answer any questions I send out to help me find out what they’re interested in.
I want to be able to make a regular monthly income by the time I retire. This could be as soon as next March if I achieve my monthly income target by then!

Wow, Alex! I read your report cover to cover, and it took
hours….. not because it was hard reading, not at all! But
because I got so inspired that I started a couple of Notepad
documents and kept adding to them as I went along. One
was a list of personal and business goals - which I’d never
actually written down before (even though lots of people say
it’s important, but I had never done it).
The other Notepad document I kept adding to was ideas of
what to write in my blog when I pull it out of mothballs and
revive it soon. Everything you said in your book has totally
reinforced what I already believed, and in a way that made
things become crystal clear. You see, I am already in the 1%
of people who wants to hear what you’re saying.
I have always wanted to be totally honest with my followers
(when I have some), and not just try to make money from
them. So it is so refreshing to hear you talking about helping
people and giving them real value. I applaud you for having
the guts and the personal values to make this “U-Turn”. I
loved what you said about “owing it” to us to tell the truth.
