Just finished listening to the audio of you and Mike C. plus read along in the book as I listened. I’ve learned I concentrate better that way if both are available.
Anyway, fantastic content! I’ve been reading, watching, listening to everything I can get my hands on for the last 12 months. Being mostly unemployed,(I do have a job but we can be off for a month or more at a time)money has been tight for the past year. Not tryin to lay out a sad tale, but my wife has a lot of health issues and won’t be able to work her job a lot longer. My dream is to be able to provide for us and stay home to take care of her when that time comes, plus be able to teach her to work online too so she doesn’t feel like she’s no good anymore.
I got everything you are saying, and I’m going to spend the next few days sorting it out & starting a journal as you teach. I have a domain and a host..just haven’t been able to decide what to do with it…until now that is! I am new to site building, but am a fairly quick study, usually. Can’t be any harder than raising BH…my squirrel friend.
Anyways I just wanted to thank you for the great ideas….& I will learn to pass on what I learn to others!!

I am a newbie in the sense of I don’t yet have a list, and definitely needed that reiteration and focus on building my list up as well. I want to create products, make videos, do launches… the whole 9, but I know none of that will be effective without a list.

I then add the mp3 to my ipod and listen too it a couple more times.
I actually make my online income from a non-internet marketing niche and many friends have ask me how I do it.
When I explain they can’t believe how easy it is, and a couple have tried to give it a go. Unfortunately if they don’t make money in the first 2 weeks, they give up.
It’s so difficult for people to understand this ‘fail forward’ part. If only they would give it a chance!

Have just listened to your call with Mike, and it was a great call!
I’ve decided to start from scratch and take the approach you are talking about, as I don’t seem to be getting anywhere at the moment.
As I am starting from scratch with no list no product, what is the best way to decide on what to offer for free on my squeeze page?
This is where I will come unstuck, creating the squeeze page, graphics won’t be a problem, its how I get people to sign up, what can I offer to get them to opt-in?

Great Info! As I listened to the audio, I started to think of how many times I have heard the phrase, “the money is in the list”, but I simply ignored it. Preferring to avoid the issuse altogether of building a mailing list. After all, “What would I have to say to them?”
Alex, you drilled your point home when you expressed your own apprehensions about list building and you stressed the importance of building a business with the list of subscribers as your foundation.

I just finished skimming your PLP ebook. I’m always skeptical about the value of something i get for “free,” so i skimmed it before committing to reading all 118 pages.
I’ll definitely be going back through this one in detail. This is the first thing i’ve ever read of yours. Very valuable content. And for free?! Obviously a hook to get people to have a paid membership, and i’m sure it’s one that works.
Your information about joint ventures and willingness to share step by step how you did things is priceless. I’ve always been afraid of joint ventures as something i could never get someone interested in. You’ve given me new hope.

I’ve been struggling with the idea of building a list for some time now. You Know, not wanting to under deliver on information for my friends and family.
I self learned to build a website for us that sells some cool hemp jewelry, crystal jewelry and blown glass mixed in that my wife Jen creates along with the stained glass lanterns and stained glass jewelry boxes and stuff I create, (Hey, I can’t leave out Grannymas Jewelry Made By My Mother)who is 72 now fighting cancer for 2 1/2 years with some problems along the way. Your thoughts are welcomed.
I’ve bought and read a few of the how to build a list programs, co reg stuff and buying an email list and so on and quite honestly, I think they’re truly just not for me and a waste of my hard earned money. I had tried them with failure forwards as well.
It is hard to find things that will work on such a small fixed budget these days.
The information you just gave so freely from the kindness of your heart struck a positive cord with me and I can say I would also like to pass the good word and the love that you share.

Alex I like the way you repeat the same thin over and over. Some times it takes 4 repetitions to get through my stony mind.
