so let’s roll back 31 days …
whilst everyone talked about there new years resolutions
you know the usual …
this year im hitting the gym to become buff and stuff …
… and to build that million dollar business online
that line i hear way to many times …
so i did the total opposite,
with good reason too …
I took the first week off in January to move from our
small house into this new million dollar mansion,
here’s my wife making me breakfast at 2pm?
go figure?
we’re renting this place for 6 months as I focus on my business.
then the second week of January I hit Vegas “hard”

(side note:- offline events are so important to help you make
money online, if you are not going to these you’re totally
missing out BIG TIME …
just one 5 min meeting in Vegas took my online income from
$100,000.00 a month to $200,000.00 a month projection
this year alone …
could you imagine that?
I also managed to meet up with our local bank manager Cynthia Davis from Vegas as we just opened up a new bank account and company in Vegas last week too
… * any excuse to pop back to sin city huh * …
( and i told you I’d make you famous Cynthia )
any way …

this past week I’ve rested my body and
soul laying in bed after that Vegas trip,
i haven’t done a thing all week, nadda !!!
and I’m sure I’ve aged a YEAR a DAY in Vegas ???
back to now …
so right now it’s 11.34pm Sunday 31st January 2010
and as I’m laying here thinking about
#1 – i haven’t done a thing all month online
#2 – wtf can i write about on my blog ( as i only blog once a month and i have like 20 mins
till the month is over )
#3 im really DEEPLY thinking about the steps needed to take
to build this new company into a million dollar company this year from scratch
i know i can do it.
and this is how ..
first i need to change some things …
and thats what this blog post is all about i suppose,
Reflection on myself ( PUBLICLY )
If you personally know me

- its no secret that i want to take over
the internet marketing world.

no hype crap there … it’s true,
I wanna make a change and my peers know it too.
but to put it out there and to be honest with you,
i’ve become a lazy marketer in 2009
and its easy to do that when the money is flowing in faster
than you can spend it.
and i spend it FAST – just ask my wife !!!
but if you REALLY know me,
you know it’s not my style to become ANOTHER money grabbing
marketer out there …
I truly wanna make a change …

so here are my steps to build this million dollar company
from scratch right in front of you starting today …
and how i set out to become GREATER than many of the other
marketers out there by making one small change to my life,
time to kick my own ass into gear so,

im going to go on detox for 3 months
no parties, no alcohol, pretty much no social life for me,
(“ouch”)
with so many parties already lined up in the coming weeks
it hurts to say im on detox
as i see my life as one big party …
man it sounds like im pulling the plug on my life right now
don’t it?

- im not going to drink a drop for the next 90 days,
and im gonna get SUPER FOCUSED on YOU …

$10,000 that i don’t touch a drop ???
so why am i doing this for,
#1 my family – my mum, my wife and my son,
I can change all there lives with the money that
i make this next 90 days alone …
im talking LIFE CHANGING MONEY … folks,
and to try and make that happen whilst living
the party lifestyle i live now would be 10 x harder,
i know as in 2009 i had way to many hang-overs and chill out days
vs productive days in the office …
hey im just being totally honest here …
i’ll get to what this has to do with you now …
but first it gets worse …
i haven’t even stepped foot into my brand new home office
since we moved in 3 weeks ago ???
and with … no boss – no set schedule – no rules …
im sure thats why you are seeing the limited success
than you should be already seeing.
you know you can do better …
( it will happen to you too – expecially when you are starting out )
what could take you 3 weeks with a proven plan will most
proberly take most of you a year and many lost dollars too.

Hi Alex,
You’ve really packed quite a lot into that post. First of all I want to say that I am a student of the MWA 2.0 course and since I’ve been on the course I have turned my business around. It may only have been a few months but I have come a long way including building my blog and building my list.
And so for those reasons I believe that 2010 will be the best I have ever had. I’ve just had my first son in the past few weeks and I am going to work hard on this business until I can quit my J.O.B.
And Alex, your teachings and then laterly, the help and support from all the other students in your course that I continue to learn from have built a new confidence in me.
So I’m looking forward to seeing what you come up with and I’ll be hanging on to those coat-tails for dear life.

Congratulations on your decision to “upgrade” yourself, lol!
When I joined your coaching program in July 2009, I didn’t know how to get started in internet marketing, even though I had been trying for a long time. Within a few short weeks, I had a blog, I’ve written an ebook, and I have a small subscriber list.
These were things I only read about–I didn’t really think I could ever DO them!
Now I’m working on building and monetizing my list so I will not have to keep working two jobs to make ends meet and get out of debt. I’m widowed and only have my income to count on.
I’m looking forward to learning more from you, and I know if you keep helping me (and all your students) I will be able to stop struggling, and my life and my childrens’lives will change for the better at last!
I hope in the future I can write and tell you that my goal has been reached and my dream has come true!

I too have had to evaluate ALOT of things with my life and I have come to one realization.
Things are not the way I want them to be so….
I will be making some massive changes and taking more of an interest in helping people with their personal situations so as I can help myself at the same time.
You helped me realize that I need to put money aside and get to the core of what it takes to be successful.
As Zig Ziglar says:
“You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want.”
The other thing you made me realize is that I need to stop chasing money and let the money chase me by serving and helping people and by bringing value to THEIR lives!

Gee Gangsta, after Las Vegas I still haven’t had any decent sleep. Just a few hours here and a few hours there. Plus I had to attend a wedding down in the country the day after I got back. That necessitated a 400 mile round trip drive – again with very little sleep. So…
… when I clear some of my offline stuff that has built up like a dam while I have been away (employee payments, tax reports, Court Case to get back money that has been stolen from me – all the USUAL crap) I am gonna start a new phase called “Looking after Gazza.”
I am gonna be very selective about what I do and who I help and most of my activities are gonna be geared to going off like those machine guns and that Desert Eagle .50cal that we fired at the LV Shooting Range.
Like you, I am refocusing. I need to. All my KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) are through the roof. Time to be a little more selfish.

Nothing like a hard week in Vegas to make you think about what you REALLY want from life, huh? Food (or beer) for the soul…
I can see entirely where you are coming from. It’s so easy to get complacent and there is always that nagging voice in the back of your mind that you are BETTER than what you are doing, you just need to push yourself that little bit more!
This year is going to be MASSIVE for you and I am really excited about your new coaching program and range of products you discussed in Vegas.

Glad to see you survived Vegas, and excited to hear you have launched a business in the States. Wish I could have made it out this time, but I will catch you some time soon.
This year my goal is to launch 6 new products. Plus focus on growing my list. My first product launch of the year is now set to Feb 23. It will be a product to help people with their adswaps and giveaway events. My second product launch will be in April and will be in the stock trading niche. I plan to keep rolling them out two months apart and just keep growing my affiliates as well as my list. Taking the que from you I plan to way over deliver on all my products. Extream value for the price.
Good luck with the detox. Quit drinking myself going on 10 years now. Never really planned to totally quit, just slow down. Found out I did not really miss it and saved a ton of money by staying out of the bars, actually probably saved my life in the process.
Well thats my drinking story-not the whole story, but the part that I can tell with comfort.

I always like the way you carry yourself and how you look at things in such a diffrent angle from the rest of us.
Like you said, I think I maybe kind of over “stressed up” for the new year resolution thing. There is a Chinese Notion when a person was about to fell in love with another that goes:
“The More you LOVE it, the More you will be afraid to get hurt by it!”
Such emotion also pretty similar when we purchase most of the Internet Marketing product or services we saw flooding into our email accounts and websites. I am talking about the Hype Up Sales Copy and Videos that promise the sky making us feel we will loose if we don’t fork out our cash for that premium price attached to it.
Yet we can’t really let the “Guru” be it fake or real took the blame totally. We are all too often make ourself into believing that we can have an overnight success with a “overnight turnkey system”
See, I am really happy and glad to be your MWA 2.1 student, is one of the rare moment where I bought something that seems as natural as breathing. There is no ” Love yet afraid of Getting Hurt” Notion I mentioned above.
Partly because I was lead to you from a fellow student of yours. Partly because I had gone through enough s**t to spot a real person from a fake guru. But makes me feel really easy and comfortable abou you is because of what you wrote in [Guru's Dream] which says something that had been in my heart and mind for all these years working as a marketing professional.
You given me much encouragement to know that I am not the only one who believe the True Value of being honest in the virtual world but more importantly,I now have a REAL LIFE EXAMPLE of someone becoming success doing that.
Thank you again for sharing this, especially how you “DID THE OPPOSITE” during the New Year Seasons.
Like I said, I am kind of Over Stress during the new year season, if you remember, I can’t even articulate well during your Special Bonus Webinar from the [7 Figures Code ] promotion of Milke. And looking bakc, MWA2.0 was a hue wakeup call for me. I have since launched my first product, created a lot of ebooks and started teaching others. Oh, and I learned how to plan which for me is quite a feat.

I look forward to watching what you have in store next for this year, and also learning from it to.
For anyone reading, I’m one of Alex’s coaching students, and if it wasn’t for joining Alex’s coaching program and taking action when I did, I think I probably would have given up by now with the route I was going to take.
One of the things I’ve learned from Alex is how to focus and plan, and I’ve found that when you have focus and a plan determination seems to come naturally… (As you’ve probably guessed focus and a plan is something I used to lack.)
I can tell you if Alex says he’s going to do something, he’ll go all out and do everything he can to achieve it!… And if he’s giving up his party life style in order to help his readers, it must be something pretty big!
I for one will be taking note of what Alex does this year, and it’s probably going to have me adjusting my plan as I find out more… I recommend you do the same.

Hey Alex, you’ve done well! I’ve been absent for a while because I’ve been using what I learned from your first coaching course for another purpose.
I was scammed for $15,000 2 years ago for a coaching course that never happened. To cut a long story short I created a blog to expose this multi-millionaire “Sharketer” and built a big list of other victims via forums & blogs etc. I learned it all from YOU! Thankyou so much.
I don’t know whether you remember the video I made with my daughter (“Forever Strange” the Torchwood fan)for your competition? Well, the scammer is spreading a rumour that I’m a former stripper and he’s going to expose my pole-dancing video to the world! Haha! A 55 year old dancing around a square verandah post! What a joke!
Anyway, the campaign worked and after 2 years he offered a refund.
So thanks, from the bottom of my heart. I couldn’t have done it without you. I look forward to getting back to my original plan of building an HONEST online business. I already have my first product half completed.

Sorry I couldn’t get to Vegas, it came just a bit too early, but defo next year.

I only joined your coaching course in December 09 and I am really enjoying it and looking forward to the months ahead when I can hopefully get things going. I am in the process of building my blog and building my list, which at the minute is zero so I am really starting at the bottom.
Good luck with the detox, I might also have to do the same to become more focused as my time is split between the course, my job and looking after my 15 month old daughter(there is just not enough hours in the day lol).

Maybe we can call this the year of growing up. Having some discipline and self control, and becoming better people as a result.
I gave up the drinking and partying when my daughter was born – choosing to live a more fulfilling life. But that doesn’t mean I don’t have more growing to do.
I’ve made more progress this month just by doing what you are about to do – focusing. I’ve tackled things that I have been putting off because they were hard for me. Too bad, right? At some point, the rubber’s gotta meet the road and you’ve gotta just quit whining and get going. It’s taken great fortitude, but I am relieved and happy with the direction I’m taking.
My business is going to grow up this year.

I have to say what you have taught me so far has changed my whole online business, I am on my way to building a nice size list and have started earning a monthly income (although not YET at your size paypacket.)
This is all down to the new focus I have thanks to finally having a plan in place, even though it has had to change once or twice the focus has never left me.
I for one believe that you can and will do what you say and look forward to learning even more from you as I watch how you do it.

Thanks for sharing with us as openly as you have in this post.
I too had plans for last year which didn’t really happen BUT I feel that it was a year in which I did a lot of ground work (probably too much but that’s another story – information overload!).
I commented to Dean Holland in December that I planned to give up my job in 2010. I was off work ill at the time and then I got a letter telling me that for “operational reasons” my contract was being terminated.
I actually felt quite relieved in a funny sort of way because now I can concentrate on taking the ACTION that I need to so that my business can really take off. That’s where I have come seriously unstuck, so my next 90 days will be the time to take consistent action.
Not only do I want to change things for my family, but now I have to and want to, so that I don’t have to worry about where the money will come from to pay the bills.
I’m sure that there are lots of people in a similar situation to mine, but at least I have already had the benefit of learning from you and others, so I am already several paces off the starting blocks.
Maybe next year I will then be making the money to enable me to come to Vegas (but when are you going to hold your UK meet?!).
We may already be a month into 2010, but as the experts reckon that it takes at least 21 days to make a habit, there is still plenty of time in this year for us all to do just that.
Perhaps we should check with one another to see how we are sticking to our plans?!

I am not one of your students, but you do have a lot of great feedback from your students, which is very impressive and something that I am sure you are proud of, I would be, there is no doubt you know your stuff. The reason I never joined your course is down to circumstance, but I have followed your progress for the last 18 months and also one of your students, Dean Holland, who seems to be making great progress.
I am intrigued by your post and the free content that you are promising, there are a lot of marketers that promise free content and how to’s in succeeding online but there are always hidden costs and a sense of under delivering. So I am fixed at what you are going to come up with and hope that it will be real free quality content that could change the lives of your readers. I once asked a very successful Internet Marketer to coach me for free, just enough for me to make a difference to my life and then I would pay him the equivalent of my first years earnings from what he had taught me, he obviously declined as he wanted money up front.
I have been working online for around a year now and am making some money, but nothing that is changing my life. I know that I will make it online as I can only succeed, nothing else can happen, how ever it happens, it just will. My dream once I have made it, is to take a complete newbie and show them how to do the exact same for free and when they have success then it will be up to them to decide whether they would like to gift me with any money.
May be this is what you will achieve this year, but on a larger scale, after all if the content is free and it could change all your readers lives then you could be doing this for thousands of people instead of just one.
I am not sure that this is what you had in mind, but my commitment to you would be that if with the free content that you are looking at providing to your readers, changes my life, then I will pay you the equivalent of my first years earnings.
You can’t say fairer than that!

My biggest challenge has been getting focused having a huge pull from the day job… However I have a plan in place now – so the focusing is coming.
As a MWA 2.0 student I’ve learned so much from you – and we’re not just talking the same old same old tripe churned out by many other Internet Marketers. You’ve taught me to plan. You’ve taught me to set the foundations of business. You’ve filled in the “gaps” that existed after purchasing many other products.
I was gutted to miss Vegas – but I know you’re a big advocate of offline meetings… So rather than mope about knowing I was missing in Vegas, I attended another offline meet last week – Martin Avis’s London Lunch… And boy, were you right about offline meets! And on that point I can’t wait to meet you in the flesh, I know I’ll learn even more from you!
Anyways – back to the point… You’re offering free mentoring. If anyone reading this is at ANY doubt whatsoever about what Alex is offering, put down your credit cards, stop buying – and as soon as he opens the doors to his free training make sure you join up. It’ll be the smartest move you make in 2010. Ask any of his current and past students.

Great decision Alex and coming from a bloke who has been a beer swillin’, football lovin’, pie eatin’,tomcatin’, ocka from down under, you have my backing and my sympathy.
Personally I’ve cut down to around 20-30 bottles per day because my 3rd wife just ran away with the local publican and his wife won’t serve me in the bottlo’ anymore.
Seriously tho’ good luck with it and I wish I’d had the moral and physical fortitude to do the same twenty years ago.
