how to make a million dollars in 2010

internet newbie makes a million dollars
in 2010 … how?

sh*t man … for real … this making money online
stuff is not rocket science you know,

so, here’s how you can copy my million
dollar formula for 2010 right away …

and also get your questions answered personally?

here goes …

the truth is, there’s never been a better time
to start your online business than NOW !!!

and i wanna let you know i started online a couple of years ago
and it’s now our 2nd birthday here for the blog

“MarketingWithYou.com”

since we’ve gone live december 2007

we’ve had hundreds of thousands of readers
to this blog

plus many of these people have paid us
thousands of dollars for our online products.

and i DONT even sell anything on this blog
so HOW do we do it ???

OKAY HERE’S THE FORMULA …

part #1

the simple formula of making alot of
money online is this,

“Traffic & Offer”

you need to drive traffic to an offer to make money online

< thats the simple formula >

and if you go back through previous posts
of this blog

you’ll notice we get alot of traffic
and we’ve created many offers too.

so let’s take this a little deeper ..

now im about to let you know how this blog’s
become the powerhouse money machine it is today,

and i also want to tell you where we are taking it
to make millions of dollars online in the next 365
days and beyond.

< and i only blog once a month >

back in 2007 i started as a newbie myself but
using the formula broken down today

in 2007 I started making money FAST and that year
made over $115,543.00 online,

and this is the how,

i didn’t fake it till i made it

i created my brand online

and i created this brand without even knowing it,

here’s the brand idea behind my business
and how it’s helped us grow so fast,

**************************

>> my brand <<

Marketing With You Dot Com

Were marketing with you NOT to you.

****************************

MAJOR lesson for you here:

people do NOT like to be sold to
but people like to buy,

understand that and then apply the marketing
message i share with you next and you too
can become RICH online …

i’ve become RICH myself going by this formula online
and it’s so simple …

back in 2007 even before social media was BIG online
i knew this formula worked BIG TIME and I started to
use it online right here on this very blog,

and to this day I carry on using it all the time
making GREAT paydays online ..

infact to date ..

my best payday has been over $100,000.00

yes i’ve made over one hundred thousand dollars in one single
day online …

pretty cool if you ask me,

and this is early days for me too.

side note: – it now works even better NOW
that social media is live and kicking,

okay …

i spoke earlier about “traffic and offer”

so whats next …

in order to make HUGE cash online
i like to follow this formula too,

“Content & Event”

meaning you need to create an “event” around your
“content”

its no good writting an ebook that no one ever reads – right !!!

infact as a simple test to myself …

… to find out how good i was at creating events
around my content,

i wrote a blog post in August 2009

and that single blog post has over 1000 comments
in reply to my marketing message,

to say the least

I was very happy with the test

it also made me around $60,000.00

yes sixty thousand dollars
to date too …

and here are the secrets how i did it,

you can grab our 2 hour FREE affiliate marketing
training course
here at no charge …

www.TripleThreatAffiliate.com

so where is this blog “MarketingWithYou.com and my business going
in 2010?

we’ll in order to make over one
million dollars online,

im changing route in my business,

you see …

I have this saying about myself

“Im consistant at being un-consistant”

and i need to change that if i want
to start making millions online,

so im moving away from the launch model

you know the model im talking about

it’s the model all the gurus use on us
all the time,

eg,

create a load of buzz online then open
a website for a week

make some life changing amounts of money
and close the site down,

Im done with that model as my business model,

that’s not to say i wont use it anymore

i’ll still use it in the backround of my business
id be stupid not to but im changing my MAIN focus.

Now my main focus is to build a membership program
with diffrent levels of access into the membership.

all the way from $1 upto $1,000 a month.

and then we’ll have lots of free products on the front end to
get people into our funnel to see our buying opportunitys.

of course it’s easier to get someone in for free than make
them pay any money to start …

then when they join for free we’ll upsell them with a cheap offer
to just $1 to get there credit card details from them and then once
the’re a paying customer we’ll start making offers to them that are
higher value than the money they part with,

that’s a million dollar blue-print right there,

but thats the basics right !!

so lets go back to the free stuff and dig deeper

so you really understand it !!!

if you look at any guru’s business model online
they give away lots of stuff for free right?

heck i’ve met almost every single millionaire
online guru
and i’ve copied there model myself
over and over,

here is some of my free stuff ive created for my readers
of this blog since i launched in December 2007

www.PostLaunchProfits.com

www.PostLaunchProfits.com/secrets

www.GurusDream.com

www.NewbiesNightmare.com

www.TweetingWithYou.com

www.TripleThreatAffiliate.com

all for free just for my readers!

and here’s why this formula is so profitable?

the pressure vs persuade formula,

have you heared:

“that giving starts off the receiving process”

so giving away your stuff for free is the best way
to build an online business that makes HUGE money,

here’s why,

there’s a low barrier of risk for the reader
when you give your stuff to them for free,

so with that said,

you do not have to pressure them to pay and
download your product,

you just have to persuade them to
download it for free,

and when you give away free stuff it
builds up your readership FASTER than anything else,

getting you …

$$$ MORE traffic to see your paid offers $$$

so the question on many peoples tounges now
will be,

how do i get my readers to become
customers?

simple again,

this is how i do it.

i educate my readers with my free stuff on
why they would want to buy from me in the
future,

i never sell in my free eBooks

instead i get people to imagine how great
it would be to work with me,

and have them wonder if my free stuff is
this good,

how great would my paid stuff be.

this has been my business formula in 2009
and we’ve made over $850,000.00 in 2009 alone

so it’s working for me RIGHT
here on this very blog you are reading

to REALLY understand this in detail

you can read it FULLY in www.NewbiesNightmare.com

Next ..

here is the 3 step formula im going to use
to make a million dollars online in 2010

im going to

#1 find

#2 grow

#3  keep

my customers base using my brand new
membership formula.

but the truth is

i’ve never owned a membership before,
so im a total newbie at this part and here
i am saying im going to make a million dollars
doing it …?

so as we close 2009 and move into 2010
im going to grow my business fast as a
TOTAL NEWBIE myself,

just like many of you reading this NOW,

so as i build the business from scratch
from tomorrow onwards,

i’m willing to teach you for FREE how im going
to expand my membership into the millions of dollars
within the coming 365 days,

but in order to help YOU personally i need
to know,

what questions do you have for me,

i need you to leave your comments below

your feedback helps me create better free products for you !!!

ask me anything you like about what ive covered here,

and even ask me how im going to start this new membership
business and build it to a million dollars
so fast when i’ve never owned one before,

what questions do you have?

post them below in your comments and i’ll read
them all personally to work out how to help you
get set up along side me in 2010.

so with that said

my first project in 2010 will be to review your feedback
to this blog post and create a step by step guide
for free for the people who reply to this post.

FAIR ?

please share this if you have any friends that
plan to start an online business in 2010 with me,

thanks and i really hope you have a wonderful new year.

to our success

    Hi Alex

I would love to learn with you how to build and run a membership site.

I have heard a lot of talk about membership sites and how they can bring in thousands of dollars every month, but I know nothing about how to do it.

I wish you all the best for your efforts and have no doubt you will succeed.

Hay a happy New Year and even more success in 2010.

    Richard

Hi Alex! Very excited to watch you launch a membership website! I’m there!!

One question for ya….what (or how) did you promote to build your list before you had your own products?? You know….1st subscriber and why did they subscribe at that time?

    Thanks!! =)

    Lisa

“Deer-In-Headlights Syndrome” is one problem that Newbies suffer from.. Meaning that most of us become overwhelmed with info overload from all the offers out there, promising to make you rich. This ends up as “paralysis by analysis”. The consequence is that newbies will buy every ’shiny new object’, hoping this to be “the” one way to riches. Failing to have a plan is a common problem. One solution to this would be for you to provide a course on Goal Setting. I have watched a previous video, one that you made last year, in which you outlined your plan for 2009. So, my question is: Could you offer such a course, providing a step-by-step blueprint?

    Regards,

    Pierre

  4. Ed Welch |

Great news I shall be watching you do this. As always I struggle with list building and getting traffic. These are always the biggest challenge. Looking forward to following you and hopefully succeeding just like you in 2010.

    Hi Alex,
this sounds interesting! Do I have to join your membership-program to profit from this? Or should I open my own membership? I would love to earn this amount of money!!! Who wouldn’t? Thanks for now and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

    A.K.

  6. Doug Stewart |

    Hi Alex

    Great information as always.

I’m looking forward to sharing the journey with you as I’m starting a membership site this year as well.

I’m interested in finding out what membership software you’re thinking of using and why.

Happy New Year and best wishes for you and the family in 2010

    Doug

  7. michael dodden |

    This looks absolutely brilliant.
The thing I struggle with is driving traffic, also with coming up with ideas for products (whether they are good enough)
I guess it is having the bottle to put it out there as well.

  8. Nathaniel |

    Hey Alex,

Great to hear your plans for 2010.

I’d just like to say that i’ve had the privilege of being part of Alex’s coaching program and this guy is the real deal.

Anyone reading this post should jump at the opportunity to learn from him. A definite “Guru” of the future and an internet marketing good guy.

    Nathaniel.

P.S Thanks for coaching me in 2009 and I look forward to hearing from you in 2010.

  9. Gordan |

    Hi Alex,
Sometimes last year I was you student attending your first ever coaching. Since then things moved for me very fast and now I am enjoying being fully dedicated to my business online.
I am looking forward to hear what you going to tell us. My question to you is – how do I scale my business and produce more with less time spent?
    Outsourcing models etc..
    Thanks and regards,
    Gordan

  10. Jerry Holliday |

    Hey Alex,

    It’s a great biz model!!

    My question would be:
    what system would you use?

i.e. software for the members site and whether this would be on Clickbank or something else?

    Happy New Year!

    cheers
    Jerry

  11. Heidi Passey |

    Hi Alex,

I can’t wait to follow and learn with you as you hit your million dollar year! After going through your coaching program I know you would run an awesome memborship site. What kinds of training do you plan on providing?

    Can’t wait to hear more.
    Take Care – Heidi

  12. Riley |

Thanks a million, Alex! Great info that you share will no doubt help a lot of people on here.

The problem I mostly have is not being able to focus on one thing long enough to see any real income. I’ve got to stop chasing the next best thing and focus on only one. Any tips on how to do that? I’ve already canned a lot of newsletters that cram my inbox, but where else should I be focusing?

With your help I know we’re going to have a wonderful 2010!!

  13. Paul Klein |

    Hey Alex,

Great to read all that you have in store. You know I’ve been with you for quite some time now, and have enjoyed all you have provided, not only the free stuff, but the one on one time as well.

Great friend, great community… I think this is a huge component of how you have built your loyal following. Plus the personal side of things goes a long way to help break down the doubts of those who may want the information you provide, but might be resistant to the “guru hype”. That just isn’t a part of you!

So… on into 2010. I’m looking forward to continuing as one of your friends and associates.

To grow next year and build my business, I will keep learning from you as well. To use the membership site platform looks like it will help everyone, because the access for material and contacts is easily done.

I personally am looking to follow some of your training and the models brought through MWA and some of the excellent progress with the likes of Dean Holland, Garry Parkes, etc.

My very best wishes for you, Katie, and Cam for the New Year!

    Cheers!
    Paul Klein

Hi Alex, I always seem to get a bit of fire in my belly for this stuff after reading your posts. I’ve just started a blog about how to start making a “living” again online after a bankruptcy or going out of business etc. But im just making a living, the big money still adudes me.

Membership idea sounds great. Would you still create a launch style “buzz” around the offers throughout the membership?

  15. Sean Beardmore |

    Hey Alex,

Wow man, all I can say is this will be a massive success for you, without a doubt.

Funny, I have the same plan written down too lol!

    Talk soon

    Sean

  16. Thomas Northrop |

    Hi Alex

Sounds like another great plan you have here. I can not wait to see how it turns out. I think running a membership site and adding valuable content is very scary for most people. Then driving traffic to the site is equally challenging in most peoples minds. So watching you will be a real help to many

    Thomas Northrop

  17. Sue |

    Count me in!!

This is too cool – and what a way to use a blog post for a freebie to get people into this NEW funnel! I have to admit it took a second or two to sink in, but once I realized, I had to laugh! THANKS!!

    Now… I haven’t owned a membership site before either, but -

Are you going to hunt down and use free tools, too?

Just thinking about all those teenagers that don’t have access to any but their parents’ credit cards, and want to get in on this… (I’m a bit older, less patient and less wise – mine is already in my hand, lol)

  18. Jeanette Fitzgerald |

    Hey Alex,

I’m very excited that you have a lofty plan for 2010 and I can be part of that plan.

I learned so much from you reading your eBooks that you give away for free.

Alex, how are you going to start buiding this membership and earn a cool million in 2010?

Most of all I would like to know if I can profit from working with you.

    Cheers,
    Jeanette

  19. Neil Marsh |

    Alex,

I totally agree with you about the membership site model, it is definately the way to being financially free.

    Hello Alex,

    Food for thought indeed!

I watched a very interesting video today and straight away thought to myself “Alex Jeffreys” and how he was ahead of the pack.RECOMMENDED!

    http://link.brightcove.com/services/player/bcpid1815813330?bctid=1813637601

Now you are going to take this further. I’d love to know how you will get your members, whether it will it be free, and how you will monetize it even more than you have done before.

In answer to your question, and the answers I would like to learn and go along with your membership.

I have been seriously searching, buying, and trying for about four (4)years to make enough to live on and have never made a dime. I get frustrated, tired and mad and then decide to pack it in and forget about it and then I find someone like you and then I get worked up again and go back to the same old B.S. If you really are like the person you sound like, and I hope you are then I know that people like me still can find and make it work. You can be proud that you can reach people like that. I have been in sales more than any other career and could sell just about anything to anyone. I am retired now and my wife and I are just making do on social security. I want you to know that I’m glad I read all of what you had to say, keep it up you will probably never know how many people you helped and with the money you earn it’s surpriseing you even sound like you care. I didn’t exactly write about what you asked but I felt that this was more important and wanted you to at least know that. Thank you and good luck to you. Arthur

  22. Peter Davies |

Nice move Mr Jeffreys! Its a funny thing – I am building my list steadily and finding my feet now thanks to the focus your coaching program has given me. I was thinking myself before how I could do something different and the membership/subscription route really seems a good alternative to the standard selling through email marketing – though this model if you have it has to be kept. And you create this post!

Best of luck I’m sure it will be a huge success

    Hi Alex

Thank you for the chance to comment on your challenging, and motivating call to action. There won’t be any room for excuses in 2010.

I’m putting my hand up to follow your coat on this million dollar adventure, and will copy what you do as I learn how. As to questions, I have a few. But I don’t really know what to ask, except that “I want to know it all”, and will stick around to find out, so I can apply what you show.

And I’m looking forward to reading the many other questions that will be posed here, as knowing what the questions are is often more than halfway to knowing what the answers are.

I guess the first question is.. What level of prior knowledge is going to be necessary for newer newbies than you to emulate your steps-to-a-million?

And why a million? Its a bad ass number, a make-’em-stop-and-look number, but not a huge increment on this year, for you.

What is your brand new membership formula, if its more than find, by offering and promoting free stuff to scratch the itches out there, grow by providing information, and keep through having established trust?

I share your conviction that growing and servicing tiers of membershp is the long term way to stability. What will your first number one step be, come 1 Jan? What offer will you make, and to whom? And will this be applicable to those of us who don’t have big lists already, etc?
What other offers will you follow this with?
Will you share your 30/60/90 day etc goals, to show how you intend to build your membership over the year?

And that’s enough for now. I’m off back to the Coaching Modules!

Thank you for sharing your success, Alex.
Best regards for the New Year
    Anthony

    Hey Alex,

I would love to build a membership site using the model you describe, a lot of it sounds very familiar to me and I know that monthly membership sites are the way to go.

    My questions are:

Can this be achieved to GOOD effect without the need of a merchant account and infusionsoft?

How would one go about ensuring he had brand new high value content every single month without fail for his membership site.

    All the best for 2010!

    Hi Alex –

You are an interesting young man. I have watched you rise up from out of no where and look at you–your are about to create this million $ business. I do believe that membership sites and videos are the thing for 2010 and want to come along for the ride with you in this venture.

My questions on your process pertain to what kind of software are you going to use to make this happen and how are you going to market this opportunity?

    Looking forward to more,
    Mel

  30. leif |

    Hi, Alex!

You have a different and interesting approach to this whole online business thing, very refreshing!

Up until now Jeff Walker was the one who came closest to getting me to pay anything for information, with his PLF, But now I think you are a tiny bit ahead.

    My questions:
I would like to know who’s your intended customer?
Do you already have a rough plan about how you intend to find, grow and keep your customers base using your brand new membership formula?

Your membership formula beeing, as I understand it,

“Now my main focus is to build a membership program
with diffrent levels of access into the membership.

all the way from $1 upto $1,000 a month.

and then we’ll have lots of free products on the front end to
get people into our funnel to see our buying opportunitys.

of course it’s easier to get someone in for free than make
them pay any money to start …

then when they join for free we’ll upsell them with a cheap offer
to just $1 to get there credit card details from them and then once
the’re a paying customer we’ll start making offers to them that are
higher value than the money they part with,”

Some questions on this: You have to get some great free content, some ultragreat paid content and some Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious content for the $1000 level.
How do you go about that?
Where do you get this amount of content?
Are you doing all this yourself or do you have some sort of staff working for you, or have you outsourced any work?
I do hope you write a exruciatingly detailed diary of all the things you do (and WHY you do it) complete with links and resources. But I understand if it is too much to ask for… especially for free…;)

    Take care

    Leif

  35. Hilary |

    Hi Alex

I’ll certainly be following what you are doing with membership sites.

One thing that concerns me with these sites is ‘forced continuity’ when you purchase something at a very low cost but because you have given your credit card details, you can be billed each month without really relising what is happening, especially if you forget to cancel.

I have been caught a couple of times by this and think that this is not something that endears me to continuing in a membership.

Would you do this? Would you send an email to people before their first month’s subscription was about to be taken?

I know that this might mean that some people would unsubscribe but it would be more ethical and mean that people would be more likely to trust you perhaps?

Anyway, having been on your first coaching course I have done a lot of the background work and learned a great deal, but haven’t been able to make money myself. That is about to change as I will now have the time to concentrate on my business. I will be following you with interest.

Sorry I cannot make Las Vegas again this time – with no income yet I simply cannot afford to come. When are you going to have a meeting in the UK for us? I would love to meet up with you and others and could find a way to make a UK meeting. Please arrange one for us this year! I am sure that I am not alone in this…

Good luck with making $1 million!

    Hilary

    Great Job Alex!

Paul here from your very first coaching class.

Mebership sites sound like a great leap forward to some awsome residual income in your business model.

I hope to have a membership site sometime in the future, and I am glad to follow along and see how you do it.

May anyone seeking after success follow in your footsteps.

    Have a great new year,

No doubt you’re the best Alex.

If not because of your coaching program and after read your ebook “Newbie Nightmare” I don’t thing I will ever build my personal blog until now.

Even my blog not as much profit as yours you already totally change my mind set about online business this 2009.

Happy new year and looking fwd for 2010.

  38. Tom Harvey |

    Alex

Festive greetings. I’m definately with you mate. Have been thinking about a membership site for a while and incidentally got a Lee McIntyre video in the background where he is talking about harnessing continuity so I can see its the proven way forward!

Lost my way a bit the last couple of months with a house move and the associated Internet connection problems (it can’t be that difficult, but 3 providers in have finally got a consistent service!) but ready to review the MWA coaching and puch forward with you on this one in 2010.

The questions I will be interested in having answered is what platform you will be using for the membership site (I’ve seen some membership scripts for Wordpress but maybe basic?)? and also what content you are using and the sources? I would guess from experience you will have a mixture of Webinars, forums etc.

    Can’t wait to get going….

    Tom

  39. Rob Golding |

    Nice one Alex :)

The “trick” with membership sites is keeping the content coming in – you need to give people a reason to remain members
    - that means new items every month, on-time every-time

If you can constantly over-deliver then people will stay and it’ll grow-and-grow-and-grow

    best of luck with it

    Hey Alex,

I have heard a lot about memberships site lately and would love to get involved, i would love to know how to set it all up and how it all works.

Happy new year and all the best in 2010.

    Nick

  42. John Donaldson |

    Hi Alex

I’ve only been on your coaching course for a couple of weeks now and loving every minute,
but this membership programe is so you man, while everybody is concentrating on list building, driving traffic and creating hype for the next must have,
you come out of the blue with the map to a gold mine.

    All the best for 2010

I hope I’ll be able to follow your lead

    John

  43. ginky |

You will only keep people in your membership site on average for 2.5 to 3 months. Which means you have to bring in a lot of new people every month or quarterly.

How do you plan to keep refilling the funnel?

    Ginky

  44. Andrew Graham |

    Hi Alex,

Looking forward to following you on this. I assume your target audience will still be internet marketers.

With your existing following your membership model should hit the ground running.

Are you going to outsource some or all of the ongoing content creation?

I know you will reach your target for 2010.

    Cheers,
    Andrew Graham

  45. Joe |

    Alex

You probably have either a very big list or a number of smaller lists of subscribers to your different products. Have you segmented these lists for the the different access levels to your proposed membership site?

For people who are not subscribers at present will your main focus be on the ‘just $1′ and later up sell them according to some criteria which you will set?

I’d like to see a plan which is prioritized for outsourcing ie; outsource this first, this second etc. A planned outsourcing program would be very helpful so that we could ease into it gently as funds become available from either affiliate or own product sales.

    Joe

  46. John S |

    Hello Alex

You speak with passion and great honesty. It is a gutsy move to share your goal with the world. Either you have already worked out the process or you are going to live on the edge for the next 365 days. Whichever way, you show great courage.

As a total Newbie to this industry, I’d be interested in how you build a list from ZERO. Too many other “so called” experts tell you to give away something of value eg ebook/report. Great tip but who do you give it away to when you have no one on your e-mail list? That’s why I think most of them are full of B.S.

I’d just like to be able to make a start and earn some money to pay my credit cards used to buy a lot of useless products. But I don’t have a single person on my list. I’m deep in debt and it’s affecting the family situation. I need a proven plan and direction and mentoring.

I hope I can follow in your footsteps if you are willing to reveal them in greater detail.

    To our combined success.

    John S

  47. Jimmy |

    Hi Alex,

Can’t wait to c your new membership site!

I’m having problem to drive traffic to my blog and review site along with list building.

Do you really have to have your own product to giveway to build the list? Coz I considering myself as a newbie…and i’v found it’s quite a challenge for me to actually create a product or report around internet marketing!

Happy New Year to u and ur family

    Jimmy T

  48. Eruwan Gerry |

    Hi Alex,

I’ve been with you all they way until now and I’m not quitting anytime soon.

All the best in your new venture and you can be sure that I’ll be following you closely.

    Happy New Year!

  49. Gene |

I’m looking forward to this. i have been struggling online for a while now. I know my stuff, but when it comes down to implementing it, I am stuck. I have helped out my friends with their businesses, but when it comes to me, it seems like I am uncertain, and I don’t want to spend money on advertising if it doesn’t convert. Things have been kinda tight, so I’m cautious to pay for advertising.

I’ve been keeping up with you for a while and I am always impressed with your content. Keep up the good work and have a Happy New Year.

  50. samson |

    Hey Alex,

There is no iota of doubt in my mind, you will make a huge success of your membership site. That simply tells you how much i believe in you. Integrity, quality informations and kindness should continue to be your watchword.By the way as we all celebrate your success, what plan do you have for your raving fans?
There are still many among us who hasn’t made a dime online and who has equally experienced huge financial losses. We will be glad if you can hold us by the hand and help us achieve real success. Even if we don’t have anything to offer to you presently. It stand to reason that if you can help us to achieve financial freedom, we will make you richer. Think about it. And add this to your most important goals for 2010. You are dear to us!

  51. Randolf Mortimer |

Rumor has it that many so called gurus are having severe financial problems at the moment so it doesn’t surprise me that you are looking to create a more steady income than the ‘launch today, take in money, lose most of it via costs, refunds and affiliate commissions’ method.

Let’s face it you likely did take in 100,000 in one day but you didn’t keep that. I’d be surprised if you kept 10,000 of that after paying for the sales page, graphics, affiliate commissions. Not to mention the tax which if you’re in the UK will be due in January and perhaps explains the timing of this blog post!

Things are looking bad for several of our beloved gurus

Mike Filsaime’s emails became increasingly desperate during his ‘free’ 7 Figure Code launch

John Thornhill is scrambling around, relaunching software he only initially launched a couple of weeks ago. Kind of suggests he didn’t make the money he expected.

There are others I could mention who are really feeling the pinch now that the good times are behind them.

You seem like a nice lad Alex so I hope it works out for you.

Best of luck and Happy New Year!

    Randolf

  52. David Walker |

    He Alex,

2010 seems to be the year of continuity – surprise surprise, I have my own membership site planned for launch early 2010 as well ;-)

I’d love to see how you go about creating one as you have been spot on in everything else you have done so far!

Have a great New Year and I’ll see you in Vegas :-)

    David

  53. John |

    Alex,

You’ve done an excellent job of aligning yourself up with the gurus and you now have quite a following so you know in advance that your new membership site will be successful. What would you do to start your membership site if you were starting as a newbie today?

Pretend that no one knows you or your abilities and you have no list or previous customers. That is the boat that think most of us are in. So I think it would be really helpful if you told us how you would start a membership site in this situation.

    Thanks,
    John

  54. Rich Cardarelli |

    Hey Alex,

I have no doubt you will achieve your goals for 2010.

The biggest problem many people have with membership sites is keeping members excited about their site, and keeping them as members.

One question I have for you is
How are you going to keep members as long as possible ?. Constantly looking for new things as they go along.

    Hey pal,
Have a great and prosperous 2010, and I am looking forward to working with you thru out the year.

    To Everyone’s Success,
    Rich Cardarelli

  55. Margaret Wraith |

    Cheers Alex

I want to know the answers to everything asked in all the previous posts! I actually believe you’ll achieve it all. Looking forward to all the results.

    Best Regards & Every Blessing
    Margaret Wraith

  56. John Donaldson |

As in my previous post I wish you and your team all the best in 2010, but

on a purely selfish point, If you and your team’s main focus,
is to build a membership program.

How is that going to impact your current students?

A lot of trust has been placed with you and your team, and as you say
forming a good reputation with your list is the key to building your list.
    You may find you are spreading yourself a little bit thin in the run up to the lauch of your new project;
and could easilly countermine the good reputation you have, by a reduction in value, to your already subscribed students

Look forward to hearing more about your plans.

    John

  57. Rob Day |

Hi Alex, yeah I’m interested in this project who wouldn’t be? But I’m still a million miles behind you from your coaching programme(I won’t bore you with my setbacks etc.) Still trying to build blog(www.Rob-Day.com) & no list to speak of ‘yet’. So not sure if I want to be overloaded with more info. at this stage.
But good luck to you & your flock.
Happy New year & hope it’s a dosh filled one for all of us!

  58. Gladwin |

    Hey Alex,

Thanks alot for all those valuable information that you have been giving out for free over these years. They can really help out newbies like me. Looking forward for more great stuff from you in 2010.

    Thanks,
    Gladwin

  59. Ray |

    Alex
how do you build a membership site from the ground up if you do not have a brand 1st.

  60. Lawrence Chu |

    Hi Alex,

    Happy New Year…
Looking forward to learn WITH you as you venture into your new endeavor of membership based biz
Looking forward to a Great 2010!!!

    Cheers,
    Lawrence C

  61. Gladwin |

    Hey Alex,

Thanks for all the free information you have given out so far. Looking forward to your new membership in 2010.

I will like to ask if it will be better to let people into membership site for a 30 day free trial or a $1 30 day free trial and why?

    Thanks

  62. Tony Rogan |

    Hi Alex
Great to see you are doing so well another great year you had, 2010 = 1 Million $ for you.

Interesting you are doing the membership site as I have one myself and find it hard to get traffic and sign ups so hopefully as newbies to this new venture I can learn with you GREAT $$$$

    Regards Tony
    Happy New Year
    http://www.tonyrogan.com

  63. Byron McDade |

    Hey Alex,

Hope the new year is starting off great for you and your family.

One thing about the beginning of a new year, is that it starts out with lots of dreams, plans and expectations for all the good things a new year can offer.

And once again, you have stepped forward with a plan to help even more of us succeed in the internet marketing arena.

Your idea to show us your steps while you build a membership site, is nothing short of awesome.

I am looking forward to seeing you succeed while also showing us how to take a seemingly complex project and breaking it down into manageable chunks.

Your coaching is second to none and I look forward to seeing what you have planned.

All The Best In The New Year,

    Byron

  64. RAZ Schultz |

All my best to you, Alex, in your new venture. I am one of your coaching students, but haven’t made any money yet. I’m still a lot farther along than I was without you!
My questions have all been stated already in the other posts, but my main question would be how would you get enough quality, fresh content to keep members in the program?
I know you’ll be a success, and I will certainly be watching everything you do. I still don’t know exactly how to start making money online, though. Sell affiliate products, but not easy without a budget and a list, lol! And which products to sell?
    Have a great 2010!
    RAZ

  65. Sandy Ostroff |

I need more focus and direction. There are so many offers, etc. I receive every day it’s crazy! I’m interested in the membership biz.
I still need a niche that’s profitable. I used all the tools you taught us in Alex 2.0 for my gallery online for selling my illustrations and photos, but sales are slim. I get plenty of traffic so that’s working. Again I need to find a more profitable niche. This is where I need the most help!

    Thanks, Sandy
    Happy New Year!

  66. Ron |

Hi Alex. Happy New Year to you and your family.

Great post and fantastic idea I am glad I will be a part of it.
Just became a member of your coaching course which I won with your last post.
You are certainly the one to follow in 2010.
    Thanks again.
    Ron

  67. Ron |

Sorry Alex posting again forgot to ask you my question???

I know you have a large list but how do get started initially, I mean were did you get your first subscriber and how do you keep doing it?

    Regards Ron

  68. Gil |

As a student of yours, I can SEE exactly what you’re doing here.
    This is exciting man!

So my questions? first off, what is your plan. I bet you have a plan so what does the birds eye view of the membership plan look like right now.
Also, where do you learn your copywriting?
And one more thing – how are you going to get people to stay members for the long run?

    Gil

  69. Jacinta Dean |

    Hi Alex,

Cool Cool Cool. I am really looking forward to following along and learning this one. I have only just mastered the whole blogging concept!

    My questions:

    What software would you use?
How are you going to market the membership?
    What type of content?
    How to get that content?
Will you have a forum in the membership?
    Will you have a helpdesk?

    Real nitty gritty question!

Will you be teaching this from an absolute newbie point of view who has limited funds and has absolutely no idea where to begin?

Or are you going to approach this from the point where you are in that your funds are not an issue, you already know how to make money online and you already have the list?

I like the limited funds absolute green newbie idea. I am sick of buying products from people that say they are for newbies when really they aren’t. EG how to make the million , but forget to say “Oh and you need a list of 10,000 to make it happen and a couple of grand in funds for set up.”

There are so many newbies on line like me who have very limited funds and are trying to use those funds wisely.

Hope you had a great festive season and I do hope my questions have stimulated your thoughts! :P

    Kind Regards

    Jacinta :D

  70. Jane |

    Hi Alex
This sounds like a very interesting project. I think that being able to watch another newbie go through this process would be an amazingly valuable resource – and to think you’re offering it for free!!
I’ve seen a few of the membership sites out there and one of my major concerns has been how to continual produce quality content to not only get new members, but to keep them. I’ll be interested to see how you tackle this issue.
I”m looking forward to hearing about your progress Alex.
    Cheers,
    Jane.

  71. jackie malcolm |

    Hello Alex,

I have some many questions I had to sit down and figure out which one I would give you.

So here is my question to you, where does a ‘newbie’ guru ,such as yourself developing a membership site, oh yeah, let’s pretend that you
don’t have any money to buy the newest product on the market.(Sorry, I don’t mean to frighten you)
Also that you don’t have all the top Internet Marketers as your friends or students and your choosen niche is NOT Affiliate or Internet Marketing, something like basket weaving or something like that.
Where would you go to get your questions answered? Like, do they have JV Events for Basket Weavers?
Where can you go to go to get advise, not get charged an arm and a leg and know that you can trust the advise? I need both arms and legs!

I think the Warrior Forum, but I want to challenge you mind to get some other places.

Thank you Alex for being so accessible to the “Common Person”.

Looking forward to working with you and what you come up with in the forward.

A Want to be Student of Yours,
    C U! Jackie

  72. Jim |

    Great post
There is some very interesteing reading, and and in the comments there are a number of things that I am interested in but I would hope that they wont be taught on a “broad scale” like most of the training and coaches you find on the web and therefore its the detail I am hoping for

  73. Ray Johnson |

    Hi AJ,

Happy new year to you and the family mate… :)

Good luck with the MILL in ‘10 mate, and the model your using should EASILY do it for you.

    Is it:

    FREE OFFER
    $1 OFFER CRAMMED WITH VALUE
    LOW PRICE UPSELL SAY $27-$47
2ND UPSELL TO DVD SAY $97-197
    3RD UPSELL TO CONTINUITY
    FINAL UPSELL TO MENTORING PROGRAMME?

If so you’ll nail it ;)

I’ve JUST moved into my new office JUST to pull of the same system! (Although it’s DEFINITELY going to work better for you as your business is a LOT bigger than mine right now)

Good luck with it Alex, and have a prosperous 2010.

    Regards

    Ray Johnson

  74. Dee |

I am in your affiliate class now and it is well worth it.

  75. Howard |

    Hello Alex
    Very interested in membership concept.
If you can really help a newbie make some money you will be a genius!
It appears the only people making money on the Net, are the ones who are telling everybody else how to make money!

  76. Leslie |

Once again great stuff Alex. Your free stuff is excellent. People definitely learn that you know your stuff and they trust you. That relationship gets you buyers. I’d love to hear more about how you got traffic from the beginning. I wish you great success in 2010.

  77. Eric |

My friend is world famous author Ray Bradbury, farenheit 451. He says jump off the cliff and build your wings on the way down. This is what you are doing, you will do fine.

I got sh.. canned from work today. I need something. I am right behind you. Maybe there is a reason I stumbled onto this site tonight…

  78. Fred |

O.K. I am always interested in making money, who isn’t?
My question is, what do you mean by making money with you?
I am interested in setting up a membership site.
I know so little about internet business or setting up any kind of site that I don’t have the knowledge to ask a question that could help me or anyone else.
I can not understand how to choose a hosting company.
I know what it is suppose to do, sort of, and what it does. But not how to choose the one that would help a business.
So you can imagine how the idea of building a membership site is both exciting and scary?
    Well for me anyway.
How can I be of any help to you in setting up a membership site as a partner?

  79. Sue Schlaiffer |

    Hi Alex,

I am a newbie and I do not have a list or my own product yet, but I have some ideas for products and I would like to build a membership site. At the moment I am only learning to sell affiliate products, which I am told is the best place to start. Any advice would be gratefully received.
    Regards,
    Sue Schlaiffer.

  80. Ed |

    Hi Alex,

Like the sound of this system i have always looked on you as the proverbial internet marketing volcano waiting to go off,and as i write this comment i can see the gases of success on this system hissing out of the top!

Great post Alex keep em coming….Ed.

  81. Larry Williams |

Alex, I am new here to your blog. I have 3 sites and would love to work with you as you build a membership site. Which script will you use? memberfire.com..wishlist.com or the Wordpress model with plugin and widets? Just curious about what you are thinking.
Would love to know how to become one of your affiliates. I am relatively new to IM..almost a year now off and on. I am ready to get serious and focus.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks for the Free stuff. Great blog.

    Larry Williams

  82. Mike Mott |

    Hi Everybody

For anybody who doesn’t know Alex, he’s the real deal. I’ve been part of his Marketing with Alex course and found it to be very good indeed.

For my part, building a membership site is where I want to go, so Alex, there it is, I’d like to learn with you-again!
    Best wishes
    Mike

  83. Pete Williams |

    Hey Alex,

I’ve loved reading through your blog lately and i’m about to purchase your tripple threat affiliates program.

Hopefully i can work through this to help develop a large list and then i can move on to building a membership site learning from you.

Hope you are well and i’ll speak to you soon no doubt!

    Pete

  84. matt lucas |

    Great stuff Alex,

You have really grown as a marketer and doubtless your new venture will be as awe inspiring as ever!

    warmest

    Matt

  85. John Iams |

    Alex:
As one of your very first coaching students, I guess I was right when I saw stardom in your future.
I too need the membership coaching you mentioned and
    feel it’s a missing piece.
I know you’ll over deliver with whatever you do with
    this new launch
    Count me in
    God speed
    John

  86. Jeff Davy |

    Alex,
I am a member of your coaching programme but I am a total newbie, could you tell me where to go within your coaching programme to show me a step by step plan of how to start please ?
You probably think its all there staring at me but I think I’m in information overlaod.
Good luck for your plans in 2010.
    Regards
    Jeff

  87. Roger Neumann |

    Hi Alex

Once again, you have an awesome idea that will work well. I am along for the journey and learn as we go. I know you have a creative mind and put your ideas into action which produces superior results. This is a great time to do this to kickstart the year into a profitable year and give excellent information to people that want to succeed.

My hat goes off to you for your plan.

    Thanks

    Roger

Go out and make it a $ucce$$ful day! :-)

  88. Tony |

Sounds like you are on the right track Alex.
I will see if I can follow you towards my own success.
    cheers

  89. Derek |

    Alex,
I have also thought of a membership site, but I don’t know how to continue long-term content. You have a lot of marketing material and experience now to provide in a membership, but how much material would you need to provide to maintain multiple membership levels and still be perceived as valuable? How could you do it in another field outside of marketing? Thanks.

  90. Marie |

    Hi Alex,
My problem is I have too many ideas for what I can manage alone. I need focus and sometimes I feel the need to have someone take me by the hand and say “do this, do that”… I know, like a child, but if I’m honest, sometimes I do feel like that.

Congratulations on your success, but even more for your 2010 turning point decisions.
