its time to shine in 2009
and what a time to shine too,
but for a second let me back track 12 months …
if you go back and view my blog posts in January 2008
I actually predicted that my business would generate around
$250,000 in 2008
so now 12 months later it’s december 2008
and the question stands …
did we reach our income target ?
well firstly …

but …
even though in the video I predicted
my income target would be $250,000
before december 2008
im now proud to announce just 12 months on
(we actually broke the $500,000 mark last month November 2008)
Man i feel proud …
so I doubled my income target and I also grew my business
4 x from the year before,
$115,000 in 2007 to $500,000 plus in 2008
so now in January 2009
I’ll create a new plan of attack ready
to build my online business to over a million dollars in 2009.
and i see this being possible for many
reasons but this one reason keeps sticking
in my head – (for some reason)
and this is it,

You wanna hear something stupid? Like REALLY stupid? OK here goes… you are gonna laugh…
I actually believed it was immoral to build a list. I have had literally 10’s of 1000’s of people to my website and I let them come and take what they wanted and never bothered to build a list until very recently.
Even dopier of me was the fact that I participated in an interview with Peter Sinclair and Joel Comm and Joel kept repeating “BUILD A LIST! The MONEY is IN the LIST!” Well, dopey me ignored that because I thought it was like holding people to ransom like… “Hey you want what I’ve got? Then give me your name and email addy and you can have it.” I didn’t think it was ethical to do that. Duh!
I wrote an e-book called the “Power of Choice” about 3 years ago which is about the best thing I have ever written. It even makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck and I am the darn author and I KNOW what is coming. That book has been praised lavishly (cough) all over the world and I was too silly to maximise the effect it was having on people. Double duh!
One guy in Canada wrote back and said he read it word for word to his family and then they all sat there and cried their eyes out. That is POWERFUL stuff to be able to do that with the written word.
Anyway, I’m blowing my own trumpet too hard here. Just slap me if I go too hard on that. I know I bung on a bit at times but, as you know, I am a writer and words are my weapons, so to speak.
I just want to re-iterate that you have opened my eyes and now I feel as though I have been a moral warrior for far too long. Not to mention a real d*ckhe*d for not taking action far sooner.
Triple duh!
I can’t believe how dumb I have been. I could have had a list of 10 to 20,000 subbies easy.
Yep! You guessed it – QUADRUPLE DUH!
So, thanks Alex – you have woken me up from my false moral high ground and I am now wide awake and making up for lost time.

Hey Alex,
I am working but big butt off like a mad woman. Doing exactly as you tell me to and am not ashamed to admit that right now you can tell me whatever you feel like and I will do it blind folded because you do know what you are talking about it.
I am so very proud of myself for having spotted you within our other peers on Rich Schefren’s coaching program, GPS. I feel ever prouder to call you my mentor right now.
On a practical note I have set up my squidoo lens and am hoping to get some traffic from them. Have been hoping without the knowledge ever since the program has started and that shows on the comments people leave on my blog.
Next I will create couple of videos to put on youtube and the likes of it, but need to get over the fear of doing it so.
And finally will write a post on tweeter because I’ve done some research on it and found some good resoruces that I am sure will help everyone to use it to it’s fullest potention, including myself. I have an account and have a list of followers but haven’t done anything with it really.

These sessions are very good. I find it VERY interesting watching the critiques on everyone’s blogs. I’ve just recently upgraded my rusted out Lada-Niva blog to a Volkswagon (the OLD Volksy). But I have a Porsche on order. It’s just that the delivery guy has had to take a detour until after Christmas.

As usual a cracking session, the only problem now is I´m going to have another sleepless night. It never fails when I finish a webcast I don´t bother going to bed !!
This weekend just gone I helped a friend deliver a Fairline very similar to the one you spent last weekend on to the south of France.
We went from Mallorca to the northern border of Spain then across the Gulf of Lyon towards Nice. The weather was Fantastic this trip, unlike the one we did last winter. Imagine the model you were in last weekend surfing down wave faces, it was a case of clean underwear every hour or so !!!!

You blew your goals out of the water. I have no doubt you will achieve your 2009 targets and I am sure there will be a lot of people hanging on to you your coat tails.
I have heard Mike Filsaime say many a time that progress does not come in small jumps, but in huge bounds when you create the systems to allow it. You have a great business model and systems.
It’s the systems that we are trying to emulate. Hiring a full time VA to work in our business so we can work on it is one of many steps we have made.

Six Hour Brainstorming Session tonight!
Well, it is early Tuesday morning, another marathon last night (6 hours) with Alex Jeffrey’s. On this call he critiqued many blogs including mine. He made sure he did not miss anyone. Another One of your student, sorry I have not been able to comment on your blog since the start of the mentorship which I sincerly apologise from the bottom of my heart, sorry buddy. I am sure you know what it was like.
Btw gone through all the comments, very touching comments, we all do appreciate you and are proud of being associated and Mentored by the man himself Mr Alex Jeffrey.
It was another great brainstorming session the other night almost 7 hrs without a break appart from 10 mins and that was on the dot. Keep it up soldier! I think on that note it’s true you have to do what it take’s in order to be successful just like you have done.
I am still reading your e-book Guru’s Dream, what a great book almost toward the end, I enjoyed the part when you actually explain the part regading the Oil Rige Scenario, so much true when you think about it.
My problem is when I am reading something I tend to read it all the way through and I think that’s why it takes me even longer. whether that good or bad don’t really know?
I think I better stop now as I still have other things to do it is already 22.18 time fly’s when your on the net.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said by the earlier comments.
You are working more than a full time job just to help us all be as successful as you have been. You say you are not a Guru but I say you are a MASTER GURU and I hope some of the other gurus out there take note.
You will definitely reach and pass your target for 2009 only put that accountant of yours to work full time on how to save it from the tax man. Having said that we do have to have some “”sympathy”" for the tax man as during the current recession his income has dropped. That nearly choked me.

I am really looking forward to 2009. I decided to retire in 2007 but had loads of work, then my health deteriorated and I was not able to cope with the demands of my clients. I decided to really retire.
The medical profession have told me if I give up work I will give up due to the illness. What to do, what to do. Then someone sent me a link to your site and I thought – I like that geezer, he talks my language, he sounds honest and if he has a coattail going I want to hang on. So AJ, you are on prescription and I really think that you are going to improve not just my health but the health of my bank balance.

Our wish came true – we got a plumber on Christmas Eve as the boiler died – heat again.

I am one of your Marketing With Alex students and I just want to thank you for taking the time and being so patient with all of us.
You’re always reading what I call fake testimonials about some guru over delivering. I’ll tell you what over delivering is. It’s when you are supposed to have a 2 hour coaching session and it turns into 6 hours. Your sessions repeatedly go way over what they are supposed to be. And not only that you have extended the coaching to last longer than you anticipated by a few weeks it looks like.
Now that’s what I call over deliver.
Looking forward to the next coaching session.
Now on to more important things. When you reach a million dollars this year and maybe the following year 2 million, I expect you will be owning your own yacht. You better get a big one so you can fit me and the other 499 students on it.
